Well, I guess the people shouldn't starve because they are stuck with an evil government. And then there is the "constructive engagement" argument.

Why shouldn't we impose sanctions? North Korea is upsetting the delicate balance of world security; endagering the lives of billions; torturing inoccent men, women, and children in torture camps; spreading anti-American beliefs; creating Nuclear weapons (all the others that have nukes except for Pakistan and India don't make nukes anymore, at least we don't think so); and planning to kill many people!

I say we starve out all the commies there; most people know that the trade embargo/blockade would kill of the N Koreans, not Kim Jung Il. But after loosing a couple million people he would back down. So starve em, starve em all out.

Talk about it hurting the people of N. Korea. Many already suffer from... blah blah blah... I can't help you out too much because I agree that that is one of our best options at this point.
