The war that we are in is a fiasco for us, my sympathy lies with the troops being asked to do the impossible and that of course is to fight a war against an entity and not a country. The enemy is called terror so you fight against people that you do not know if they are terrorist or not cause they flee back into the population, the troops are now being asked to refree a civil war and that has never been the function of the military, they have a leader that does not understand the value of a planjust the same old sad song and that is we will leave with nothing less than victory so we are doomed to stay until iraq ceases to become a country and everyone alive there now dies of old age then perhaps we can come home from the mess this president put us in with his lies.

I think that it is arguably the least justified war we have ever waged. At least in Vietnam we were honoring a treaty (SEATO). This war in Iraq was selected before Bush was ever elected. The neocons were looking for a way to establish a foothold in the Middle East, for a variety of reasons. and Saddam Hussein was a likely target because he had no really strong supporters among the great powers of the world. Do a search for "Project for the New American Century." I truly believe that the neocons are now sorry that they didn't wait, so that they could start a war with Iran over the nuclear issue. Problem is, that now they can't really do that because of the fact that our army is no longer big enough to wage a war on 3 fronts.

Blunders. From the stalls and not having the forces in Afgan to actually catch the guy who attacked us, and then commiting the forces to Iraq.

We should have stayed in Afgan and finished the job there before starting anywhere else. Now the Taliban is increasing it's attacks against our guys and gals and even regaining power in some areas.

Iraq will be a blunder to me just for that fact that we didn't finish a job we were already commited to in tracking down the real people who attacked us.

Plus if we put money in Afgan and helped those people have a more stable life think, of the PR that would have earned this country in the hearts and minds of people in that part of the world. Espicially with all the sympathy that we had from the world after 9/11. But instead our President squandered it all, and pretty much showed that part of the world that we are who the radicals preach us to be.

I am pissed that my buddies are risking their lives in Iraq.

It sadings me very much that the demacrats, gained so much in the past elections, based on the so called war in Iraq. I am a democrat, born and raised, but I vote based on how well the person in office at the time is doing, rather democrat or republican. If we are going to be a democracy and an example to the world, we must vote based on justice, rightness, and self empowerment...meanig not by outside influence and or propaganda. President bush made mistakes in his dealings with Iraq; information wise, military wise, and democracy wise. Like Pilot washed his hands of Christ, we washed our hands of Iraq and allowed one man to be blamed, based on a universal decision and that man is President Bush.
No matter how many times we Americans, wash our hands, the blood will always be an unwashable stain. We need to take time out and breath and open our eye to this truth. The War In Iraq Is Over... Over... Over... Our troops are not dieing and loosing limbs... because of a war, the war is over. They are being murdered in the process of being a police force and while training others to become police officers. We dishonor their lives and their deaths when we cry...RUN and come home. My one and only son was mudrered at the age of 18 a few weeks after 911, so believe me I know what murder looks like. If anyone would have ever told me to run, go home, and seek no justice, they would betraid all that I loved and recieved the greatness of my anger. I know so well, how it feels to loose a child and I have a friend whose nephew was murdered in Iraq and sent back home in a body bag. I've seen his pain and understand what he is going through. Yes 3000 lives lost are big numbers, but they are the numbers of lives which the murderers must answer to. Until this justice has been met and those responsible have been hanged. Lets not run, lets not count bodies, accept of the killers, and most of all...Lets not allow the democrats and republicans, who are trying to stay in office, make us unjust, wrong, and influence are ability to get the job done, using the propaganda network of killers and muderers. President Bush did not invade Iraq without our permission and the permission of republicans and democrats. We must see this out, we must endure, because anyone with any common sence knows, the invasion of Iraq was coming sooner or later, so when; is not a Bush thing it's a strategy thing, which could as well happened under the Clinton Administration.

I think it is a war, we need to win this war. If we lose then I am converting to Islam and getting ready so that when they take over I can get my other 3 wives. Every one will be a antiwar liberal that I will physically abuse and force into the most sordid sexual degradation I can devise, then when I get tired of her I will accuse her of adultery so we can have a fun filled stoning.

i think its dumb war, we should have pulled out of Iraq along time ago, its pretty pointless, sure we got Saddam but that's about it. the death tole this December is around 1000. that is sick. its not necessary. there a few people who go to my school that say I'm going to grow up to be in the army! what kind of a goal is that death. this war is pointless and George bush is an idiot, sometimes i wonder what would have happened if AL Gore was president..........
