Military - October 2006

I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we're both young, only 16. But he's always been pushing to be a Marine. I guess these days, the whole idea of him being gone is a lot closer to reality. He's been talking to a recruiter, going to PT and all this. Basically it's been set that he'll join since he has nowhere else to go.

It's kind of depressing knowing he'll be gone in 2 years or so. I want to hear about the experiences you've been through. Anything really. I want to know what it's all like.

Do Americans support troops by praying they would survive in Iraq? by sending them money? by calling them and boosting their moral? by feeling sorry for them and wish them well? What do really Americans mean by supporting the troops? I'm just wondering!!

Just noticed a lot of hate between the two. My boyfriend's joining the Marines and always pokes fun at the Army. And noticed the same with the Army guys I've met. Why is that?

And what side do you take?

My fiance is in the army and wants a Suunto x9Mi (a gps wrist navigation device/watch) to use in the field and to take with him on his next deployment. It's supposedly made specifically for professional soldiers, but I'm not sure if that is simply a marketing ploy or if it really has a good purpose. Have any of you ever used this or a similar device and are they even allowed? At almost $500 is this worth that price? I don't really want him to buy it, but I can't help but to think how I'd feel if him having it could mean the difference between him coming home safe or not and I told him not to get it. Any advice is appreciated. I've included a link with a description below.

The other night, I got to talk to two veterans and they both told me that the best way to enter into the military is by making your own contract with them, to go to college first and then serve as a commissioned officer.

I want to know if it's even possible, and if it is, what issues and catches could be involved.

Military are you truly here to protect the people of the United States
or are you the personal private securtiy for a elite evil group of people that would tell you to kill americans, when americans start to stand up to "Tyranny". Will you follow Evil or will you follow God!?

They parked 25% of the Navy's strike groups off the coast of Iran a week ago and had them playing war games in a lame attempt to provoke Iran into defending themselves.

Can you imagine what would happen if Iran or any other country parked 1/4 of their Navy off the US coast and started playing war games.

My guess is that before the election, the neocons will blow up one of the strike group ships and then blame it on Iran as a pretext for war. They have been caught hundreds of times staging false flag attacks.

I smell another one coming SOON!!!!

The question is:
WILL YOU BE ENOUGH OF A DUMBED-DOWN SHEEP TO BELIEVE IT AGAIN?

Which suggest a sign of war taking place in the next few hours to few days

I am not sure which countries though.

#1) An 8x11 prison cell made with metal floors and walls. You toss a naked person in and randomly subject the cell to 50,000 volt shocks causeing the person to jump around in pain. When you leave work for the day, the computer keeps shocking the cell every time the prisoner tries to doze off and get some sleep.

#2 You handcuff a person to a chair and use a weak CO2 bb gun to shoot them with airgun pellets until they talk. Airgun pellets penetrate the skin but not deep enough to kill immediately - even with headshots.

#3 Tie the person to a chair and force them to watch STATIC on TV - with headphones over their ears turned WAY UP !

#4 Hook the person up to a electroshock machine - with an eye monitoring device - designed to send 30,000 volts through their body every single time they close their eyes.
Including blinking.

Would that allow a better understanding of logistics, reality and suffering?

From the Independent newspaper this morning:

"Mark Lancaster, Tory MP for North East Milton Keynes and a major in the Territorial Army who has just returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, said: "My view is that British forces are having to cobble units together. The current level of operation is unsustainable."

If more politicians served in horrendous conditions, perhaps they'd be less inclined to precipitate those said same conditions...

Cheney and others thought we would roll in, install new leaders and that would be it. Could it be " faulty intelligence " or arrogance or terrorists who hate us for our freedoms ?
