If China ever had to institute a draft their manpower would easily outnumber the USA something like 5:1(they do have over a billion people living there). China also has nuclear weapons and a major influence in our textile industry and big business as a whole, which would drastically cut our economy down.
Although the USA has the ability to project it's power overseas that's not likely during the present time. We are already stretching our man-power as it is with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the late threats from Iran and North Korea. Plus our soldiers are becoming more fatigued as the years of war pass by, greatly reducing our chances of fighting multiple wars at the same time. And terrorists around the globe would have a field day joinig the Chinese in the fight against us. Can you say WW3?
Here's a typical strategy for the Chinese: Get Russia on their team, cross the Bering Sea, and start invading from the North down. There's no way the USA could stop a full-scale invasion of that magnitude unless they decide to bomb Canada with nuclear missiles, which hits a little too close to home anyway.
And about the nuclear stockpiles, you can only launch so many (about 10 - 20 within the same sitting) before the limit is reached and the whole world descends into hell, creating major earthquakes that knock down cities, covering the whole world with toxic fumes, killing everyone, and possibly disrupting Earth's orbit around the Sun sending our entire planet either into the flames or the icy depths of space.
What it boils down to is that right now, if the USA were attacked by a foreign power, especially China, our whole way of life would collapse overnight, and it would be the beginning of the end of our country, possibly the world.

USA definently, Worlds Best Economy, Most Powerful military. First thing, China cannot attack the USA, they can attack Japan, and Taiwan, but lack the Naval capabilty, to fight the United States or attack us directly, sure they have millions of men but outdated equitment, mostly conscripts, and if we were to fight China we would implement conscription and have a total war, we would introduce a war time economy like during world war 2, China would never use Nuclear Weapons, on the U.S. since we have the ability to destroy China almost within hours while it would take the Chinese a while to deliver a nuke, so we would first fight a conventional war, and the Chinese would never use a nuke against us as a last resort, at least i hope so, they would attempt to drown us in men, we would control the Air, and carpet bomb the Chinese, this would be no Iraq, it would be hell for them, this is all assuming they wouldnt use a nuke which would be disastrous for them they only have 400, we have 7000, though a few would destroy all they needed too, plus you dont use nukes in a limited posture once you use one you use all of them.
You people need to look at the facts, if China attacks the U.S. we will bomb them into the Stone Age simply through our Air Power, its obvious you know nothing about the military, and Chinese technology is extremely OUTDATED, and if we were to cut off trade ties with china it would only hurt us temporarily, for a few years, it would destroy china, completly.

on the point of economics, i might say so. China's financial equipment has boomed critically in the process the final decade, and if China desires to salary an financial conflict against yet another u . s ., they might in all likelihood win with out hesitation. On a protection stress point, i might say no. usa nevertheless has the main efficient protection stress interior the international.

China has the larger army. China has just as many nuclear weapons. If China were tto ask the U.S to pay back the loans it has made, the U.S would be ecenomically destroyed and sent back to the stone ages. China minds its own business so it has no threat from terrorists, so no cost there either. Obviously China is the far more powerful. China also has as much political pull as the u.s. or more because ecenomically every country needs China.

This is a joke question.
china may have 1 or 2 semi-nuclear warheads, we have 25,000.
No conventional army in the world can equal our power. Basically because china may be able to field a 2 million man army..but we have the long range artillery, latest aircraft (theya re still using way outdated Migs that just scream, "shoot me down"), latest weapons (they still use ak-47s, which are good, but not great considering they werre invented in 1947) we can beat ANYONE through our power, influence, allies exceptions include terrorists who blow **** up form 10 miles away and never face us. But when it comes down to it U.S.A beats China hands down.
you also have to think about soldiers skill and tranining, our soldiers get the best training and tools at their fingertips...China recruits everyone within the ages of 20-45, hands them an ak and tells them to listen to a guy and to die for China, look at the Korean War. The Chinese have no value for human life they would send men in waves...knowing they would all die just so that their enemies would run out of ammuniition. THAT is their strategy.

Neither. Why? Because we are interdependent. We feed China and fuel their economy. They give us just about everything. Technically speaking we are. The U.S. has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 16 times over. China ain't close.

China can field a 200 million man army, that answers the question. But to get down to nuts and bolts, it is our nuclear weapons China fears, Clinton sold them enough technology to make them an equal in conventional warfare.

Ultimately, our nuclear deterrent makes us more powerful. China has a growing military, but there not there yet.
China does have spies in the U.S. government, and they don't have liberals in their country, so they are willing to do **** we aren't......like have spies!!!!!!!!
Economically, no nation matches our thirteen trillion dollar economy, we represent 75% of the world economy.
