I recently graduated from university and is thinking about joining the Canadian Force. Although I am thinking more of a technical and supporting position instead of being in the frontline holding weapons, I understand that there is a basic military training session for about 11 weeks for all positions. Can anyone share their experience on how this or similar trainings in other countries are like? I am delaying my application since right now I don't think I could pass their pre-enrollement physical test unless I put time on some physical training this year myself. The army seemed to be prmoising and I believe the pay and benefits should be good. Can anyone share their actual experience on how it is like being in the army and what are some of the bad things that I have to be adware of?

Since most christians regard christianity as a faith based on the concept of LOVE , and since most Christians loath descrimination and religious intolerence and respect human rights and feel regret for the horrendous actions of the colonial powers of the past. Then it would be hard to wage a crusade against muslim nation without waging an emotional/religious campaign to change the public opinion of chirstians . Isn't it a campign of hate similar to the campaigns launched by the Nazis against the Jews? Isn't the only purpose of such attempts is to provoke the muslims as much as possible, then record their reactions and display it in the media in a way that depicts them as animals worthy of being slain by christian forces in countries like Iraq, iran, etc?

My friend just burried her son yesterday. He died after serving only two months in Iraq. She was devastated, heartbroken, and emotionally shattered. She loved her son more than anything in this world and would have gladly taken his place. All she is left with is memories of his first smile, his first kiss, and his first I love you. Well, at the cemetary, while she was saying her final good byes, a bunch of m*th*r f***ing a**hole protesters were there shouting things like he deserved to die and that he was not saved and sh*t like that.they oughtta be publically executed for that. They are heartless sons of b*tch*s. There should be a law against that. How would they feel if it were one of their children coming home in a box? I could go on and on. I'm sorry , but I wish misery and death upon them. They deserve every f***ing bad thing that happens to them.Just imagine the pain they caused this family. Does anyone else think this has gone too far?

As an Army reservist, how difficult is it to attach yourself to another deployable unit that is mobilizing to go to Iraq? I really want to go, but then come back and finish school after a year.

So, lets see the progress:

1. The Iraqis are far worse than before and dying like flies, we have destroyed their infrastructure, they have no oil (one of the largest oil producers in the world!), no hospitals, no electricity, no running water and on and on.

2. We have created a school for terrorists where they have a chance to develop ever more sophisticated weapons and test them just like we do and we did in Viet Nam.

3. Weapons of mass destruction?? The best picture the papers were able to print on the weapons of mass destruction was a little desk with some chemicals. Is that a joke or they think the public is stupid?

4. Protect Israel? Israel has recently been attacked by the worst barrage of rockets ever.

5. Control of the oil and gas prices? Gasoline has gone up over $1.00 per gallon.

6. Cheap? In and out? Ha!

So what progress is this site talking about? The fact that we have re-built some schools and some roads that we destroyed?

Or maybe in the simplistic American mind the Iraqis are better off because they were able to vote in a bogus election?

What am I missing here?

In retrospect, now we know why Iraq had a Sadam Hussein...

Ok...I'm just curious because I have to go back to MEPs october 3rd and The MEPS doctor said I probably had it since birth but I needed to get it checked to make sure it wasn't a problem and I'm slightlyu nervous because I don't know what kind of tests they are going to do and I hate doctors. So does anyone know. What I shoudl expect. I know a murmur is not a definate disqualification and i really do want to join but I hate medical tests and just want to know what they are going to do. Sorry I know that was repetitive.
