First flight: December 21st 1970

I was dang near killed by a Tomcat crash back aboard Kitty Hawk in '94.
We were in heavy seas and a Tomcat struck the ramp during a night recovery.
I had just stepped off the deck about 15 seconds before it hit.

Both Pilot and RIO survived ejecting AFTER impact as the plane was fireballing down the deck.

Actually designed in the late 60's and built in the early 70's.

Yep. How about the B-52???? There's an ancient warhorse, built in the 50's I believe.

Yeah, theres some really old war planes still going around. The Australian Air Force still use the F111, its been around since the 60s.

f-14 tomcats got a picture aboard the uss john f kennedy during last years fleet week in new york. very lucky to have it
