According to a Congressional report, during operation Iraqi Freedom from May 1, 2003 to June 25, 2005, the number of dead by race is broken down as this:

American Indian: 13
Asian: 29
Black or African American: 162
Hispanic/Latino: 172
Native Hawaiian: 15
Unknown: 15
White: 1,181

Wounded during that same time period.

American Indian: 121
Asian: 143
Black/African American: 1,192
Hispanic/Latino: 828
Unknown: 2,738
Native Hawaiian: 76
White: 8,091

I think those numbers speak for themselves.

I spent 30 years in the US MARINES fighting for this great country and can't believe the stupidity of your question. I have fought beside many black men as well as Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, etc, And guess what! We all bleed the same color! Red! You need to grow up! Why don't you join the military and find out for yourself? No? didn't think so! Unless you have been there and lived it you need to think before you speak! and If you think I'm being hard on you, your Damn right I am. IN the Marines there is no room for racism, we are all fighting together as Americans. Got It!

From where does crap like this emanate from? After the Black Americans under Dr King in the 60's rallied and defended themselves (and supported by whites in their thousands) and long, long overdue, the Black American man and his lady has today won through to his rightful place. I also served with them /along side them in Vietnam and elsewhere. I'm convinced they also saved my life in action! Never been able to prove it, whipped off to hospital, never saw those guys again, mustered out (invalid) months later. I'm also a Brit, an ex serving soldier who served in the US military via the Australian army. No. Those guys stood with you, looked after you! I'm not sure today why they even referr to being a Black American?. To me, they're All Americans! Proud people and proud of their heritage

look dude, i dont know where you are getting your info from, but i assure you that is not true, my dad is over there with a special operations in one of the most dangerous hot zones, he is white along with half of his regiment, why is it that people like you only think of ways to ruin the reputation of thoes who put their lives on the line every day to keep you safe, you are the kind of person who i dispise because you only think of the bad our brave men and women are doin and not the good...incase you are still too narrow minded to belive me check the latest death count...that will show you. and the last thing any1 wants to do is segragate or discriminate against someone who may end up saving their lives...you are so much of an asshole i probabely couldnt even set you straight even if i sent your assover there...jerk

The only racism going on here is this inane question -- and you would NOT ask it if you REALIZED the REALITY that there are soldiers of ALL Ethnicities involved in dangerous assignments!

Please site a source. It would be interesting to know there was a racial bias. Most of the television coverage I have seen has been of injured white male soldiers.

Bullshit. If anything, special ops units tend to have more white and hispanic people on them. By the reasoning you demonstrate in your biased question, I should be asking whether black people are cowards. Take your racist conspiracy crap elsewhere.

Don't worry you'll never allow yourself to be around any real soldiers to find out......being a racist and a coward is a hell of a combo.

In the military there is no such thing as race. Were all soilders, sailors, or airmen. And proud of it.
