I personally support both, it's just that I've seen these phrases several times on this site. If you do not support the war, then you must not approve of the USA being over there. If you do not believe we are justified in being over there then any killing that takes place is not justifiable, but in fact murder. You are then basically calling the troops murders that you support. I realize that the you may think troops have to go where they are sent, but they don't, they can be a conscientious objectors, or go to prison, which most would gladly do if they truly thought they were being asked to commit murder. Please someone explain to me the "support our troops, but not the war" statement. BOY!!! I have to stay off this category, it sure gets me riled...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
