Three more Today

Three more Soldiers were sacrificed by Georgie today:

"At least 20 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since July 27, all but two of them in Anbar."

Maintaining the average of 2 to 3 a day, we've lost nearly as many Soldiers in the past 24 days as the Israelis have in their New War.....we continue to lose 3 a day and up to 16 wounded a day but Bush keeps telling us we're winning, be patient he says......he's already taken as long to "Secure" a third World Country as it took for the U.S. to defeat Germany in WWII....of course Roosevelt and the Military had a Plan back then, one that would chnge when needed, they knew that Stay the Course was Bullshit, so does most of the World

U.S. enforcements arrive in Baghdad By SALAHEDDIN, Press Writer

BAGHDAD, - U.S. reinforcements sent to Baghdad to help quell sectarian violence and clamp down on other attacks took up positions in a restive neighborhood Saturday, while two bombs at a market northeast of the city wounded eight people.

The 3,700 soldiers of the Army's 172nd Stryker Brigade moved in from the northern city of Mosul to bolster U.S. and Iraqi security forces already in the city. However, there's already 60,000 troops there so it will not make much of a difference.

Several Stryker armored fighting vehicles were seen Saturday in Baghdad's mostly Sunni neighborhood of Ghazaliyah in the western part. Iraqi police used loudspeakers to encourage residents to go about their business and reopen shops.

Dozens of people are killed almost every day in due to the civil war in Iraq. The USA military has not been able to beat the insurgents. The USA troops have been eating crow and sucking shame.

the war in lebanon. Israel has killed MORE than 10 times as many civilians as Hizbollah (50ish Hizbollah and 600ish civilians). That is not collateral damage. It appears that Hizbollah are collateral damage in a war against Lebanon. Can someone PLEASE justify this war without saying "they were hiding Hizbollah" - there have never been Hizbollah in the Christian part of Lebanon (who support{ed} Israel and would have driven Hizbollah out), yet they were bombed.

My husband is thinking of joining the army or reserves as an IT specialist. What kind of work do you do in that position at home or while at war? Just wondering as a wife how dangerous is it. What are the chances right now if he were to join either branch with that job of being deployed, and just because you have a job like that does that mean you will not be on the front lines?

My friend has been in the National Guard reserves for about a year (been through both basic and AIT training) and was told that he would be able to attend college first before they bumped him up to active and eventually deployed him. Now they are talking about sending him to Kuwait, and he starts school in 2 weeks. Anything he can do?

compared to american soldiers dying, does anyone know that, the liberal media just loves to report the number that died, yet across america you have a high number of people dying in violence.(gangs, etc.) that doesn't mean that all of america is in a civil war and america is doomed to total death and destruction.

I have been in the USAF for almost 11 years. I have to say my first 4 were great and I re-enlisted for 6 years. I have been involved in every conflict since Kosovo and up until about 4 years ago I loved it. Now, I despise it. The pace is unbelievable. By the way, I come from a long family line of CAREER Air Force and military and all of them say they wouldnt enlist now...no way in hell. Not because of the war...because of the insane rules and ridiculous amount of hours, training, and childish treatment. It gets worse every year. Awards are based more on how you look and the image you portray than the job you do, and the sad part is, the superiors are buying into it. My grandfather was an E-8 and he agrees it is ridiculous. Safety training, suicide prevention, base restrictions, 11 hour days, no beer purchased on base after midnight, off duty volunteer work, TDY's, uniform restrictions are at an all time high. I could go on and on. Any similiar thoughts?

After Vietnam, a lot of draft dodgers, drug addicts, burned out hippies, folks who were afraid to go, and losers in general started claiming military service to either explain away their mediocre lives or impress their buddies.

With the current all-volunteer military deploying and redeploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, and making news, how long will it be until we see the wannabees lying about being SEALS, snipers, Marines, and having "confirmed kills"?

Is it already happening? Just wondering.

Sometimes war is necessary but in cases where it is not, how is it defined as war and not murder? a man who kills someone is a murderer, a man who kills several people is a mass murderer, a man who kills for someone else is a hit man, but a man who is told by a leader to kill many people is a soldier. At what point is war necessary and otherwise is it murder?

The American service men and women have been defending this country for hundeds of years. Giving us the many freedoms that we have. Even our so-called allies have been blasting us. This county is attacked and five years later we're ready to roll over? I don't think so. I can understand when a foreign goverment does it, but not when the american people do.

Israeli Commandos attacked Tyre early this morning with disastrous results (2 of their Shayta 13 elite commandos got killed) and without achieving any objectives!

This is the second failure after the Baalbek attack.

Do you think it is an intelligence failure of simply a military one?
