OK, well, here are a few questions I came up with and I would love it if I could get some REAL answers, and not bogos ones, thank you.

1) How does being an Eagle Scout compare to someone who is not Eagle in terms of getting into an academy?

2) How does being a black belt compare to someone who is not Eagle in terms of getting into an academy?

3) In a prep-school for one of the various academies, do you go for one year? Also, is that one year right after your senior year at Hish School?

4) Is there a set amount on how many nominations you can get?

5) How much do sports effect your chances on getting an application?

6) Would being in JROTC during your High School years have an effect on getting in?

7) I have a -3.50 myopia in both eyes and 20/20 vision with contacts, must I apply for a medical waiver?

8) Would being in top physical shape in all aspects: swimming, running, overall strength; would that have an effect on my chances on getting in?

More on the way.

Four more marines killed in Iraq Sun Jul 30, 2006

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Four U.S. marines have been killed in action in restive Anbar province, the U.S. military said on Sunday.

The marines, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 7, died on Saturday. No further details were available. The only information is the Marines have been getting hurt day in and day out by the rag tag insurgents. The Marines have been retreating due to being defeated every step of the way. Many Marines, as well as the army men have been seen crying their eyes out due to getting a Butt kicking.

The casualties followed the deaths of four other marines in Anbar, west of Baghdad, on Thursday. They too got their Butts kicked.

U.S. President George W Bush last week boosted U.S. troop levels in Iraq after increasingly violence raised fears that the Marines were getting a hard Butt beating.

I'll assume that you know a little about how things are going in the world and that there are more people than the American Idol runner ups.
Israel said it's because Hezbolah are hiding rockets in Qana, while no evidence is shown to prove their claim that there are rockets in that area (similar to Bush's claims of WMD in Iraq).. Anyway, you, as a human - supposedly - how do you feel about what they did and their justification? And what if things were working vice versa and it's Hezbollah are the ones who killed over 70 civilian, almost half are children?
Israel also said that they've warned the civilians to evacuate the area.. what if those civilians didn't have anywhere else to go, and they don't have fancy shelters like those they have in Israel, does that mean "kill them", and as Naom Chomsky said "Israel is the attacker and they are the ones who are making the claims, so their claims shouldn't be taking literally."
What do you think, and how do you feel?

I think most people who are critical of the War are ignorant as to why we are fighting and whome we are fighting. If more people read history -especially Military History- and paid attention in history class, there would not be so many historically moronic insults levelled at America. For example, who stands to gain from the Democrats fearmongering and the media's disinformation? Islam!
You don't believe me? Pay attention, then, to Military Science:

1) The Art of War -Sun Stzu
2) The Prince -Macchiavelli
3) Isinde Al Qaeda -Mohamed Sifaoui

If you can comprehend these monumental works, then your eyes will be opened.

All jokes aside from this topic.....

I am currently in the USAF. Though my carrer has been good the AF is making cuts. I am supposed to reenlist next year but the AF is cutting 2,974 SSgts next year by not letting us reenlist.

I am going through the process right now of switching from AF to Army. I mean all I really have left to do is sign my contract. Well my wife just told me tonight the she is starting to second guess it because of the fact I want to go into Military Police (job I have wanted to do since I was little) and she is afraid that I will get hurt in the desert. (Dont get this wrong I have been to Iraq on convoys but for the most part the AF is safer). I can honestly say I hate my job. I feel I didnt join the military so I can just call the commander cause a 4 star is coming to visit. The AF soon will also be going to 1 year deployments for all. Promotion rate is easier in the Army.

Do you think I am wrong for wanting to do this.

If Hezbollah was firing missiles into isreal from in and around a building they were fully aware there were people hiding in how is not their fault? They knew what would happen, they did it because they are willing to sacrafice innocent life to make Isreal look bad. Please explain to me how it isn't their fault?

There are so many reports about Hezbollah lauching missles in high numbers but very few reports about damage at the other end. Are these "Water Balloon" missles or are the reports about so many missles being launched exaggerated?

Something seems funny here. If Hezbollah is really sending that many missles and causing next to no damage how much of a threat can they really be to Israel? Sounds like you'd have to be hit in the head with those missles to get hurt.

Am I the only one scratching my head about this?

Alright, I am interested to see what you guys think is the most important battle in world history. What is one battle that determined the course of the world? What is one battle that, had it not occured, or gone in favor of the losing side, would make our world entirely different? Have fun...

While sickened by all the civilian deaths in southern Lebanon - I gotta think that we (the US) wouldn't suffer anywhere near the 1500 missiles Israel suffered Israel prior to their invasion of Lebanon. I mean if 1 missile landed anywhere near Tuscon and Vincente Fox appeared unable to stop them - we're just go in and secure the space. So how can we criticize Israel for securing their border?

Specifically, I am wondering what is the name of the cowardly soldier whom General Patton slapped in the hospital and what became of him. I would hope that he became a good good soldier and went on to become a great man. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
