While sickened by all the civilian deaths in southern Lebanon - I gotta think that we (the US) wouldn't suffer anywhere near the 1500 missiles Israel suffered Israel prior to their invasion of Lebanon. I mean if 1 missile landed anywhere near Tuscon and Vincente Fox appeared unable to stop them - we're just go in and secure the space. So how can we criticize Israel for securing their border?

Hezbollah is the one doing the damage to Israel, and I do not think we would be as carefree then. Not for at least a year when the dumbocrats forget about it.

Unfortunately for Lebanon, they have let Hezbollah control the military. They are hiding in civilian places and when and if they get bombed, show that Israel is the worst people in the world and killing innocent people. Even tho most of the ones we are killing are militia.

Hey, KNOWITALL, you can not negotiate with Terrorist. You have to be moronic to even believe that.

In a NY minute. Cheers to the 101st. Israel is doing the only thing they can by taking the war to the terrorist instead of allowing them the control. They did not over react, they retaliated. Lebanon is not labeled a terrorist state but they allow terrorists to conduct military operations and terrorist operations from their country. As long as Hezbollah exists and conducts offensive actions, Lebanon will be a target.

israel over reacted, the reason the soldiers were taken was to be in exchange for 3 prisoners israel holds, some type of bargining could have been tried first, the rockets did not start until israel starting bombing lebanonn, now it looks like israel has bitten off more than they can chew this time.

We can't , this has been going on since the 80's !
Hezbullah starts shooting rockets , Isreal goes in and hammers them , civilians get killed ( mostly Hezbullah ) , world opinion blames Isreal , Isreal backs off , someone brokers a deal and we go back to square 1 .

We wouldn't have to invade Mexico , just give their soldiers $100.00 a peice and they'd turn the place over to us .

This conflict started with the capturing (not kidnapping) of Israeli soldiers.

If Mexico captured US soldiers the United States would NOT have bombed the country. They would have went in and took them back the same day.

The majority of 'civilian deaths' in lebanon are hezbollah. They don't wear military uniforms.
