The Israel vs Palestine war is beginning to get a bit out of hand. They are going at it rampantly. Shouldn't the US intervene?

FYI, i posted this because of an article I read regarding many mothers and young children dying as a result of Israeli raids this past week. Terrible news.

Im answering two parts. First, just let the Israelis fight the extremists. We back them up if they need it. If the Lebanese wanted national stability they should have banned Hezbolah instead of embracing it. They invited extremists and now they pay the price. Let the World keep watching until they all understand. You play with fire you will get burned.

Secondly, to the person who asked what gives America the right to police the World. The largest economy, the strongest military and the strongest record for promoting peace, and humanitarian Aid.

Im sure that wont get into all your heads so try this. ITS CALLED WORLD MANAGEMENT!!! USA and our allies must promote stability in order to manage peace and economic prosperity for the majority of the World. Use this as an example. How could you manage a world with nuclear armed terrorists? You couldnt. The World would quickly become unmanageable. That means world wide economic crash, less humanitarian Aid, choas and anarchy would rule the day.

Thats what gives the USA the right to lead the World.

Look its as simple as the strongest get to lead. Right now its our turn so dont beat your self up over it. USA leading the world is much better than being led by Communists, Nazis, Fascists, Marxists or Radical Islam. We may not attain Utopia but at least we sincerely care about other people, human rights, animals, prosperity for all and the environment. I dont think the other government types would care as much or even at all.

Let Israel deal with the problem themselves. By all means help them with money and weapons, but don't jump into the war. If the U.S. did that then Iran would use it as an excuse to jump in and use nukes against both Israel and the U.S. It would be a bad move.

I guess it was the straw that broke the camel's back. The Hezbollah never expected Israel to react so strongly and now they'll have to face the music. Israel should have gone ahead and cleaned up this mess a long time ago, no matter what the international community said or did.

Out of hand? Compared to what? the availability of 24/7 news has made us a nation that expects almost instant results. I'll tell you what, check out the other wars the Arabs and Israel have fought, and then come back here and say what is happening now is out of hand. Go check on the Americans killed in Lebanon in 1983 and come back here and tell us that what is happening now is out of hand. All I am asking you to get is some historical perspective. What is happening now is minor and will be done soon. The terrorists know they over reacted and so does Israel. it won't bring the dead back, but at least it is a starting point.

No! We are already perceived as Israel's bodyguard. Besides they really can take care of themselves, and politically speaking it is best if they do. Don't forget that most of all politics is based on appearances. We are trying to gain credibility in that region of the world in order to gain trust and reduce tensions all the way around. Getting involved in this skirmish will only escalate it into a full fledged world war, and regardless of what everyone says about him Bush isn't stupid and he will not fall for such easy bait.

We have already intervened. That's part of the problem. The US backs Israel unconditionally and has been providing Israel with weapons. They may be physically fighting their own war but they are doing it with US weapons and American tax dollars.

Israel can take care of themselves. They already get first class weaponsry sold to them at bargain rates. They can do the rest themselves.

The US is intervening just the right amount for a change.

a bit out of hand? Look at history and then tell me if this is " out of hand " compared to the last 20 years. No we shouldn't intervene they are going to kill each other no matter what, whats the sense in letting them kill Americans too?

why? What gives America the right to police the world? That's not your job. Yes, whats going on over there is horrible. However, whenever the Us intervenes in anything is when things go straight to hell.

I do not think so because our troops and service men and women are already spread so thin. I think there must be a way to help without getting completely immersed into this war. Or just hopeful thinking....I am not sure.
