$100 a month goes out of my husbands paycheck for his GI Bill. I dont understand why people say soldiers join just for free college bc its not really free.

for almost 2 weeks, the israels bombed ruthlessly innocent people in lebanon, destroying and killing every thing. yesterday; they dropped brochures telling locals to evacuate before the ground attack begins. what do think of it ? are they getting softer and more humane or do they want the area safer , so they won't face any resistance and have less casualities in their side?

If it ever happened which it more than likely will not, I think it would be harder than Iraq for the USA to invade.
Think it would be a good even fight to be honest, due to well trained aussie soldiers and to australia's large size. What do you think?

Ofcourse peace and diplomatic ways are the best but if all people are not in the same wave lenght as you are , wars will happen. Should government also try to bring the diferences with other means with short term deals as well as long term education. Is war inevitable any how ?

The reason I ask, is that I think its impossible to fight against those who are willing and happy to die for their cause... i.e the extremists in the middle east.... so I was interested how many of you who are unfortunate enough to be sent to war are truly prepared to die for me and others like me, a world away in the UK? I just saw a question about their military strength and I saw a good percentage of the answers being that they are strong enough to defeat the USA. Although I disagree with this, I'm curious to see what evidence the people making those statements will present here. What makes them so sure and how much do they actually know? Is it from experience, education, or pure speculation?
