While it is nice to get the support, it would be nice if people did not talk for soldiers. If you want to express what you think fine, but please do not put words into soldiers mouths about how we feel or what we want, cause unless you have been there and unless you have served you only know what you read, and it is not always true.

I think 99.9% put their lives on the line daily for oil, and have done as good of job as could have been done under the circumstances dictated by Washington,

Until recently they have been doing nothing but waiting for the next IED to go off!

2.792 of them have given their lives there, 7 in the past 4 days.

With regards to the prison and some troops that murdered and raped civilians, I don't condone that type of behavior, and it pains me that there are some on here that do! It reflects badly on our country as a whole. And please don't try and say it isn't true, we have 15 in jail now for murder and other crime against Iraqi's and more that are going to stand trial. Many officer.s, including a general have been reprimanded and their career is gone! Regarding the rape, the FBI submitted an 11 page affidavit, and have eye witnesses. Some officers have already been reprimanded for failing to investigate the incident. This is by far the exception!!

But so does the war in Iraq, which the military in Iraq had no say!!

I don't personally know any soldiers in Iraq at this moment, but that will change before the year is out. I do think that the ones who are there deserve our support regardless of our opinion on the war itself.

Unbelievable that there could be any question whiny "bluffmike" and I would agree on, but it seems we do here.

The American military servicemember is the guarantor of freedom and security for my country and many others, and as a retired combat arms vet and field grade officer myself, proudly SALUTE all the men and women who have gone in harm's way to do their duty. It is a shame we tie their hands as we do and an even bigger shame that the rest of the civilized world has not sealed that border and allowed a new government to take hold.

that Sgt extreme is a fake. I was with some of those units he talk about. and I have been talking with him, he is lying about some of it. He was a 92Y he was kicked out of the military because he could not make rank. he was in a infantry unit and could not get passed SGT. in 15 years. The guy was not at Solimia. I do not know about Iraq the first time, but the rest is bull. He is on here faking.
I for one do not like it.

These individuals - like soldiers as a whole - shouldn't be there.

Bring troops back home to their families. I don't think its the soldiers fault they have to go there in the first place, but killings need to stop. I keep wondering how are they protecting the US, Irak never attacked the US.

They are great guys. Dedicated to making a Iraq, and the world, a safe place.

I think some are there to protect our country, a few are there to be able to shoot people without consequence, and alot are there to pay for college.

It's not their fault for being in a war that shouldn't have started, and I hope they all come back safe (except for the ones raping the women and children, and the ones who knowingly kill civilians for the thrill of it).

"They are great guys. Dedicated to making Iraq, and the world, a safe place. "
Nicely put. <3
A lot of these criminal charges seem to be simply fictitious. Please give all soldiers you hear about the benefit of the doubt.
