If so, why?

In the Israeli and Iraq war context, how do you feel about soldiers killing in your name?

No all soldiers are not murdering bastards. Why do you say that, when they just have a few bad eggs. That is like saying you are a murdering bastards because you dad killed someone. How about look at all the good things they do. No body ever gives them credit for that. They only see the bad side of things that hardly takes place. People like you.

Soldiers aren't murdering, they do there job (not like assassins), they fight for there government and for there people home...
So if they kill anyone they did it in the name of there country and if not... then there out of the army and probably in a jail....
Before you come in the army you have to make a physical test so they can see if you're a psycho or if you're normal... So I believe I can say that almost no soldier is a murdering bastard...cause murdering bastards are psycho's...

No, I don't think that ALL soldiers are murdering bastards... i think that some may get off on the thrill (aka some of the stories coming out of Iraq about the US forces), but I sincerely hope this is a tiny minority.

The forces are not killing in my name, I didn't vote for the politicians in who's name they kill for today.

However, I am grateful to them, always watching on our behalf, allowing me and my family to sleep peacefully in our beds at night.

First of all no one is killing ANYBODY in MY name.

Secondly, I am married to a Senior Army Officer who has served for 26 years thus far. Neither he, nor any of his Colleagues want to murder anybody. They joined the Army to protect. My husband is in EOD, his career has been spent saving lives, often putting his own on the line. The only time he has been involved in using his gun was when Terrorists opened fire on his vehicle in Northern Ireland, and there was no choice but to return fire.
In Iraq he was heavily involved in trying to reconstruct the Infra structure for the Iraqi people for whom he felt affection and anger that their lives had been destroyed. He and all our Military friends are civilised and decent men whose aim is to make the World a safer place for civilians like you & I. I wish that conflict could be solved by talking. So does he. So in answer to your question. No, all Soldiers are NOT murdering Bastards.

No soldiers are murderers, and for you to think such a thing, you are a b*****d. Soldiers serve their country, and if they are given an illegal order by their CO, such as "kill those POW's" then they can say no. They are brave men and women who deserve respect. Your respect. I hate the way members of the public are ungrateful for the sacrifices that men and women in the military make for their respective Nations. These people need to go into service themselves to see what it's really like.

Having served in Bosnia and Kosovo, I have seen the horrors of conflict, but at the end of the day, its our destiny to destroy ourselves. Ever since men and women were able to, they have been killing each other for one reason or another, examples being The Romans, Macedonians, The Catholic Crusades, The Americans in the War of Independence, WW1, WW2, Korea, Nam, Gulf Wars 1 &2.

There will never be an end to war, as long as man exsists on Earth.

I'm very proud of our soldiers!
People are entitled to their opinions about the war and the Government, but to call our troops murders, well you can only look at the source of the person who is saying something so ignorant. Our Armed Force Members are the bravest among US Citizens. I'm well aware of the few that have done wrong, but that doesn't change my mind about every service member! I'm married to a Military man, and I couldn't be more proud! Not just of my husband, but of every man and woman that is serving our Great Nation!

first of all, where do you get off that sodliers are kiling in my name. Second, you sound like you are talking about gangsters or gang members that go around with grudges fighting in your neighborhood. American soldiers that are in Iraq have a strict rules of engagement that for the most part prevents a lot of local national deaths but puts our soldiers at higher risk. Our soldeirs are required to be attacked or be able to testify they felt they or their fellow sodliers are threatened by the enemy. They are not cold blooded killers as many would portray them to be such as yourself it sounds like from your questions. As for other Israeli soldiers I have no clue what their rules are.

I don't think Darth deseves that! He/She is posing a question for debate.
Darth I don't think soldiers are murdering bastards, though there is always the exception to the rule. Rules of engagement are pretty much adhered to.
They just do the bidding of the government, whom they have sworn allegiance to.
