If you bail someone out of jail through a bondsman and they don't show up in court, can the bondsman really put a warrant out for your arrest?

My boyfriend was driving my car and we got pulled over for an illegal U-turn. Unbeknownst to us, his license was expired. My car got towed and he has a notice to appear in court. Does anyone know what the penalty for this is? Does he need a lawyer?

In the 1 city block area that I live in, I see someone stopped by police getting a ticket every 48 hours. Even my brother from another city is noticing the same every time he visits. Me and my wife had PERFECT driving records until we moved here, and now we both are fearful of getting any more tickets. Is there something we can do? We moved from a less expensive neighborhood to this, and it feels like they are targeting the people who can afford the tickets.

You will get voted on for best answer. Please don't bother with Cop bashing, or other disparaging useless remarks. Looking for real insight and wisdom here. Thank you for the help.

I live in a block of flats and there is a suspected "crack house" on the ground floor of the flat. Residents have written to the council but they don't seem to give a toss. What can I do and what proof will the police need before they do anything?

This week is the week that we honor all those in Law enforcement for all the sacrifice and dedication they bring to their communities. To my husband: I love you and I am so proud of you. To the other officers out there, you have my respect and admiration you all are true heroes. Thank you.

Question? o.k. here is one.....what will you be doing to honor this day/week?

I live in a small town , Ada, Ok. the police are rude and they are crooks. They work for the police dept, because they can't get a job anywhere else. Like Chris Ross, Cliff jackson. their are several at the Ada city dept. There are alot of us that want to get rid of these lairs, an abussive ones. No one has a chance in this town if you have ever been in trouble. They will follow you aharrass you. Stop you for nothing. Anything just to get a conviction. Take stuff from your house saying it's evidence Oh please that goes home with you ever wants it. The book The book "The Innocent Man" is perfect example.

I have lived in my house for 3 years & had my dogs when we moved in, we paid a company $3500 for a fence to be built prior to moving in so we wouldnt have to worry about anyone complaining about the dogs, they also wear $100 bark correction collars, in the last 2 weeks the neighbor has verbally attacked my husband in front of my 2 yr old son & called the cops on us 3 times, saying my dogs are barking (when they are in the house with me) last night he called the cops at 12:00 am to complain my dogs were barking (they were all in the living room with me) and then he left his house, so the cops came and found the barking dogs (over the hill from my property) NOT MINE! Then he called the dog warden to tell them that I have 7 dogs and one is pit bull. Total lie. I have a collie, german shepherd, black lab and cocker. I have just had it, what can I do short of beating his a$$ to let him know he cant get away with this, calling the cops at midnight filing false reports. its out of control

I pled guilty to Misdemeanor Larceny in 2000 and the case was closed in 2006. I want to go to Nursing school so I'd like to get the record expunged so I can just get that out of the way. Can I get the record expunged any time? Is there a limit as to how much time can pass before it's too late?

In Oct, my mother visited my maternal grandma. She helped move her personal property including jewelry, furniture and other belongings into my mother's house as my grandma had to be placed in an assisted living facility. It was during this time, that her personal possessions were doled out amongst family, except for the furniture which was to remain in my mother's home. My mother expressed interest in a jewelry box containing jewelry that has been in the family for years. My grandmother agreed, much to my Great-Aunt's dismay. My grandmother said that she wanted my mother to have the jewelry infront of both parties THAT DAY. My mom allowed my Grt Aunt to use her home in FL when she is on vacation at anytime, to just give us a heads up that she would be in our house. (She gave the Aunt a set of keys). My Grt-Aunt took the jewelry box and it's contents, knowing that this was against my grandmother's wishes, w/o asking us to be in the house. Since we allowed her access, is there recourse?

I came home from karate class tonight to find my stove, a/c, and hot water not working. I went outside and checked, and all of those fuses have been stolen right out of the fuse box. Someone also turned the gas off (it wasn't the gas company, I'm paid up) and stole some stuff off my electric box outside. Nothing was disturbed inside, but it sucks that my stove, hot water and a/c doesn't work. Those fuses are expensive to replace. It had to have been a neighbor. I called the police and they said they'd send someone but since it's not an emergency they didn't know how long it would be. It's been like 45 min. and they still aren't here. Do you think they took me seriously? I did get robbed! But it was more of a nuisance robbery.
