Law Enforcement & Police - March 2007

My boyfriend and I have been togrther for 14 months. We fight maybe twice a month. We usually just yell and scrach each other or push. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and a few days ago my boyfriend pushed me and hit me in the head and I scrached him. The police didn't believe me, because I had no marks and he did. If we have to go to court what would happen? I don't want him to go to jail.

I had campus police, who apparently are real police, confiscate my motorcycle plates because they had expired. They then asked for my name and social security number. Can they do that? I asked him, and he said he can easily get it, so i suggested that he do so. He then tried to confiscate the entire bike.

im trying to get in the police as a community support officer ,i passed my assessment awhile ago now and had my medical a good month ago,but havent heard anything since.i know theyre carrying out security checks and references ,but does it usually take that long?

I got this ticket in California. The officer says he got me at 81 and the flow of traffic was 72. I wasn't gaining or falling from the car in front of me. Do I have a chance to fight it?? If I lose in court will I go on my record or will I have the option to go to do something about it?

She's never been in trouble b4...good student...ex-bf kept calling her in between his breakups w/ new gf...so my daughter started pranking her. We couldn't see her until the next day (after she was arrested at school). They wouldn't release her to us until the next day when we got to see the judge. She has been on house arrest until the pre-trial which is the end of this week. What will her charges be and can they go to such extremes for a 1st time violation? They had her shackled and hand cuffed when we finally got to see her infront of the judge. Don't minors have civil rights? And noone read her the Miranda rights??? Any one with legal knowledge in Ohio would be appreciated. This has been very traumatizing, please be nice.

I, like everyone else am getting quite sick of blowing into a breathalyzer everytime I get pulled over by the police... I'm a big guy with a big tolerance for alchohol and I think its insane that the legal limit in my state is .08

I'm proposing a new idea, and I'd like some feedback. As part of driving tests, along with the written and the road test there should be a drunk test. This test (which is optional) will give the new driver an opportunity to particpate in a supervised test of intoxication.

At this point, the driver can be assesed and appointed a CORRECT BAC limit and it will be printed on his license.

So, now if I get pulled over and blow a .14, I can legally drive away since my body can handle it.

I think this will help out tremendously with DWI arrests, prison cells and it will also help out restaurants and bars as they will sell more.

Its not fair that we are all punished because some lightweight can't handle their beer...

What cup size (volume) and realsitically what type of drug would net someone the most profit without getting caught? (not sure what cup size a breast has to be to weigh one kilo - 2.5lb)

I'm thinking that if someone tries a DD implant of black tar heroin, that it might be too heavy (per volume), and end up looking lumpy and unnatural...not to mention uncomfortable.

After completeing my train journey i discarded my single travel card (paid for in cash) as i was now able to use my oyster to finish my journey, however i was asked by a collections officer to provide my ticket (since discarded), now i have a letter from the prosections department!! am i now stuffed and can expect to have a conviction??? has anyone else had experience of the prosecution department for "fare evading"???

Do they have to have their parking/running lights on? My friend states that this is entrapment if they don't, but I disagree. I have seen them in the median with their running lights on, but I'm guessing they have them on just in case someone is trying to do a U-turn and not crash into them. But, if in a vacant lot or parking lot during night time hours do they have to have them on?
