No offense, but I think your nuts. The reason the BAC is .08 is because it applies to everyone equally. You can't have a different law for different people.
Additionally, alcohol effects everyone differently; .08 doesn't mean you are drunk, it just means you are over the limit. Although you may not feel the effects of the alcohol, that doesn't mean it isn't beginning to effect your body and your motor skills.
Moreover, if you don't like blowing into a Breathalyzer every time you get pulled over you should either stop drinking and driving, or become a better driver. You share the road with other people. People who drink and drive are a threat to everyone else on the road.
You say it isn't fair for everyone to be punished because of lightweights, well it's unfair that innocent people die everyday, because of an intoxicated drivers blatant disregard for the safety of others. Since you want to do some research, you should look at the BAC levels of accidents involving fatalities, you may be surprised.

It's a good idea because it would help establish at what bac your drunk. It may even lower the limit for some people. Say for example I don't drink a lot and I take this test and fail at a .06 bac I wouldn't be allowed to drive at a .06 when now I can. Your right alcohol effects everybody differently and you might be a better driver at .14 then I am at .06 so this is really a good idea but I think it needs a little tinkering but you got it, you got it.

I can see what you are saying. I have known people to get pulled over at 1:00am, after last call, and might I add for a made up reason, just to see if they were drunk. My friend was followed for about 2 miles and just as he was about to go into the next town was stopped. They failed him on field sobriety because he "started to early" and "mumbled the letter z". He blew just over, but was actually not drunk. I think that I would maybe not be able to drive at around a .04, but someone else could drive fine at a .12. It's all about how your tolerence is, how often you drink, and how you handle alcohol. Even though he got a ticket, my friend does not, nor ever did, condone driking while driving. Its the people that are really impaired that we need to keep off the roads.

I think you don't understand what BAC is. Because you are a big guy, it takes more alcohol to give you a BAC of .08 than it would some little 190 pounder.
But that doesn't affect your ability to handle yourself any better with that same level of alcohol concentration in your bloodstream.
Remember, BAC is a percentage, and quite frankly, you need to learn to drink at home, or stop drinking so much before you drive.

Im not sure you understand how the .08 was decided. Do you realize that this is YOUR blood level?? A 120 lb woman may blow a .08 after two drinks in an hour, but a 260 lb man may not blow a .08 with four drinks in an hour. Get it?

I think you should wait until someone close to you, a friend or a family member, is killed or seriously hurt by someone that "could hold their liquor" at .14 BAC. Then you might understand why the laws are the way that they are.

Even if you body can handle it, doesn't make it the right decision to make. I would never drive after drinking because for one it's illegal and for two it just stupid.

I think you're full of yourself.
If you're getting pulled over, you're probably weaving or driving erratically, and the cops can see that. The first thing you lose when you start drinking is your judgement. So while you think you're fine, everyone else can see your driving ability is impaired. Either stop drinking, or stop driving when you do.
If you don't believe me, go back the next day, and ask to see the video of you that they took when they pulled you over.
