I've forgiven the burglar who broke into my house although I don't know who he/she/they were.
Murder on the other hand is a completely different issue. I had a (police) friend who was killed (deliberately) by someone in a stolen car and I'm not sure how I feel about them - have I forgiven them? Is it my place to forgive them?
I'd like to think that I could, but my family are so precious to me I don't know if I could.
I pray to God I never have to find out.

I'd have to say possibly, but I might well kill the burglar first, if I caught the toe-rag. As for the murderer, it would depend on the circumstances. God may be able to forgive, but I fall far short of that graciousness.

No - but the 'poor little junkie' will be treated like a prince behind bars just incase he sues because of the harsh way HIS human rights are being ignored.

I don't know about murder but burglary.....would depend on the reason for the burglary and if the person who carried it out showed remorse and was otherwise a decent person. Good people end up doing bad things for all sorts of reasons.

No, if I ever get hold of the scum that broke into our house 4 years ago i'd torture them for so long they'd think i'd made a career out of it.

I can barely forgive little things -- It'd be impossible for me to forgive anything like that.

i'm a devout catholic and was taught from an early age to forgive, but i could never forgive somebody who violated my house. if somebody murdered my brother i could honestly forgive them if they were truly repentive, but break into my house i'll hunt you down and cause suffering like nobodys business.
