are you entitled to your state bond money when the charges are dropped and/or the feds decide to pursue the charges. And there was no bond on the federal side, so the moneys did not switch from state to federal

My husband is currently working at a bakery. They have a standard commercial 3-bend sink. They also have an old dishwasher that can wash 8 (48x60) pan at a 3-5 minute interval. The supervisor requires him to wash these pans BY HAND in this 3-bend sink. Manually, he washes 300-400 pan per day using degreaser, bleach & dish soap. Mind you this is a bakery that has a 20 gallon water heater. When the water from the pan-washing gets cold, he often times bale water from one area of this bakery to the 3-bend. due to the chemicals, his fingers on both hands are infected around the cuticles. He often complains of the tips of his fingers feeling numb. His nails looks dark, scribbled and brittle. The supv gave him a pair of rubber gloves that came to his elbow. That made it worse. Extreme pain to grip/grab things as he used to. He works FT plus OT & pychk never reflects(40/wk plus). There's no group health insurance or benefits available. Income is needed. How do we pursue this lawsuit?Help!!!!

I got pulled over a few months ago because the automatic seatbelt in my old car was broken, and stuck in the un-harnessed position. The officer didn't give me a ticket for that, but he did give me a ticket for "carrying passengers beyond limit of intermediate license". In my state if you haven't had your license for more than 6 months you can only carry passengers that are your immediate family. I only had a few weeks left on my six months. I figure that it's useless to argue any excuses for why I had someone in my car, but the fine is $137 (!!!!), my license is supposed to be suspended for 30some days, and start my 6 months over (which have been up for a few months now). Anyway. I contested the ticket, and I'm hoping that I can plea for at least not losing my license and starting my 6 months over, (I need it for work, school, etc.) Any pointers, or is this a lost case?

I was not thinking and stole $130.00 shoes and was caught. I am 22 years of age, and this is my first offense. I was given a citation which they marked as a Misdemeanor. I am graduating soon from college and want to become a teacher and do not want this misdemeanor to effect my chances of getting a teaching job. Are there any other loop holes that can improve my chances or this not to go on my record and ruin my chances on getting a teaching job. And what would improve my chances as far as a 'Public Defender', or an 'Attorney.' My court date is on Jan. 22, 2007. What can i say to the judge?

Me and my friend live in ohio, I used to date her brother .He just turned 18. She is dating someone who is 18. I am 15, i turn 16 in april. She turns 17 in may. We have our parents consent, is there anyway the cops can do anything. Someone said that if you are 18 then you can date anyone over the age of 13. We recentlty just broke up with them, because we are scared, and we dont want to put them in jail.

I have been privilaged to be a part of only a few court proceedings. In "all" cases (business and divorse related cases) it just seemed to me that while I was ready to get it over and out of my life so that I "and the court" could move on with our lives...it didn't move on. It was as if it would go on and on and on...you get the picture. I do know and I am aware that there are circumstances that can contribute to slowing things down. I'm not addressing this issue. What I do want to address and ask you is based on my own personal observations. It appeared to me that it was the Judges and or the attorneys themselves that were the "major" but not the total part of the problem. After all I have heard it said, by others, over my life time that the courts are a host of "strange bed fellows", no puns of any kind intended. What has been your and prehaps some or your friends experiences in having to wait when there truly seems to not be any reason...except for deep sea fishing trips and golf!

My daughter was a passenger in a car with a friend, her friend was pulled over by the police. Being a minor she had no ID so the officer requested her social security number, unknowing she gave him this infromation. When I called to complain he said he can request it for their infromation and to keep her on file. Even though she did nothing. I don't understand how they can do this is it truely legal or can I stop this cop. I believe they have run her name from last time and found her dad is a club member and although we are divorced and I moved 600 mles away for my kids and I to start over I think he has traced the connection and is harrasing her. Can someone help me and tell me if this is legal and how I might be able to stop him.

I have a co worker who swears that her significant other routinely "taps" her phone and listens in on her phone calls. She thinks its a jealousy/possessiveness issue and believes she hears a "click" noise when he is tapping her line.

She is something of a drama queen, so I want to know if she could be right?

Phone company workers... Do you know anyone who taps phone lines for personal reasons? If it happens, why are the perpetrators never caught and prosecuted?

I hired a caregive 6 years ago who was a very aggrogant , dominate woman. I wanted to fire her oftern but my Mother who has dementia became attached to her. The caregive ris 73 years old now. She did not tell me her age when I hired her and I was so much in need of her that I did not ask. Now her Daughter ran for local alderman in our City and got elected. She comes to my Mother's house regularly to talk BUSINESS WITH HER DAUGHTER. The daughter husband is the local CHIEf of the Firedepartment in the area of town I live in. This is too much for me who is a simple person. I cannot fire the Caregiver as she will take me to court for money etc. I do not like this situation but no choice I think??? Too much politics and knowing my personal business in my house. I am uncertain how to handle this.

last year i got caught doing 9 mph over a 40mph speed limit (in a truck), on a clear and dry straight road at night with no other traffic about. I was guilty and pleaded so, but was in effect punished 3 times. 1. £60 fine. 2. 3 penalty points on my licence. 3. my insurance premium increased, as i had to inform my insurance company of the motoring offence, can this be legal?

At one of my jobs, I originally was told my my fellow coach we would get a raise and make near 15 dollars an hour. I then got a contract from the school that said i'd make a salary but it would come out to 6.75 an hour. I never agreed to the contract or turned it in and have been getting paychecks for 16 an hour. Am I in the wrong for putting in the hours and keep getting paid 16?
