I need help in summarizing them. This is-unfortunately, since nothing better could be found to debate-the topic that will be discussed in my next argument class.

Marijuana leads to the damage of brain cells and in the long term can really damage your memory. I know someone very close to me who has been smoking pot for over twenty years. I hate to visit him even though I love him because he has damaged himself so much without knowing it, and he is in a constant stupor. He cannot function without it. It's sad.

It can also impair your judgement and legalizing it might create even more problems with people "driving under the influence".

After marijuana is legalized, what else will be?

Who will hire the drug users? Most companies today have mandatory drug testing to be hired and random drug testing though out their employment. Companies are given discounts on their insurance premiums because of this. It protects the employees by making a safer work environment, and it protects the employer from lawsuits because of workers being high while working that could harm other employees and damage property.

How would you field test someone driving while high?

Why would they legalize when even smoking now is being banned about every public place you go? It damages brain cells and then leads to further addictions over a long period of time....or can, let me put it that way.....not everyone has compulsive/addictive behavior but who knows that when they take that first smoke?

well there is the argument that it will lead to more drug use by children, that there has not been enough testing to know what exactly it will do to people, that druggies will run wild in the street, that drugged up people will have car accidents and that it will destroy young peoples lives.
