What is their problem honestly? They are always screaming things such as ," Death to America! " and, " We are here to stay! " or ," Mexico is so great ! ". If they hate America then why do they come here and break our laws for money. If they are here to stay then why do they run away when trouble comes and finally IF MEXICO IS SO GREAT WHY DON'T YOU STAY THERE!

All I hear is "Bush is wrong!" "Congress is wrong"

So what would you do.

I would send them back then change the time period you have to wait to become a citizen so that they'll want to come back.

Simple question - given that things are getting bad in the USA with expensive food, gas, healthcare and so on, are Americans crossing the border into Mexico for a better lifestyle? Since there is no extradition treaty between Mexico and the US, any American immigrants would not be deported back to the US. Some Americans are already living on the other side of the US border for a fraction of what they would pay in the US.

Illegal in America

Memorial Day is an important moment in remembrance of those brave and women who have died for the preservation of freedom that we cherish in America. Many Americans visited memorials set fourth throughout the nation. From New York to Los Angeles walls are engraved with last names like Johnson, Mitchell, Jackson, Nguyen. In this wall you will also find names that end with Ramirez, Lopez, Jimenez, Ruiz. All these names are symbols of pride for us. These names of these heroes have given the ultimate sacrifice fighting the Global war on Terror. It’s very probable that some of the people who have died in combat have parents or relatives who are here illegally. Are we going to send John and Ken to knock on the door and have to say the following, “We regret to inform you that your son or daughter died in combat, we are very sorry. Now we have to deport you back to you’re nation of origin.”
The debate for Immigration reform has been heated up by racist entities like John and Ken from KFI radio in Los Angeles. These shock jocks like to dehumanize the Hispanic people just like the Nazi’s dehumanized countless Jews before executing them. John and Ken, want America to think that Hispanics don’t value education, which is simply irresponsible and hateful. This rhetoric is exactly what we don’t need in this tenuous debate. The only way the Immigration issue will be solved by comprehensive Immigration reform PERIOD!

Remember, that a hero is a hero no matter if they were born under the Rio Grand!

I am all in favor of building a wall, therefore keeping out Terrorists and criminals from our shores. However, I am not in favor of persecuting and verbally lynching these people like KFI Radio constantly advocates on it’s airwaves in order to gain ratings. Thank you to President Bush for his leadership in this divisive issue. And Thank you to all Americans for supporting those people who are in fact Americans!!

2. Where will you go?

Yes, they need to learn English...BUT, does anyone know how hard it is to learn a language over night? It seems to me that is what everyone wants. Americans just want all spanish people to be able to speak English overnight and that is ridiculous. English is one of the HARDEST languages to learn and it can take years and years and years to master. And I hear all the time everyone arguing that illegals "demanded" that we accomodate their language but I've never seen a spanish person demand for us to learn their language. In fact it seems to me that our country made the CHOICE to accommodate those that spoke spanish willingly. Any time a government sees the potential to make more money from a group of people, they go out of their way to make it happen. Which OUR government did...

The point is, if they are attempting to learn English or TRYING in any way, then they are doing what they need to do.

ok now that I have your attention let me start my question

Most people seem to agree that Mexico's government is corrupt and is keeping its poor, poor. That being why mexicans flee here.
It has been stated that if Mexico used its resources to improve the life of the average Mexican the Americans would be much kinder in their opinions of Mexicans.

Why are we so mean to Mexicans if it is indeed their government and not them personally? Wouldnt that be like everyone in the world hating us just because of our government? Totally basing all their opinions of us on our government and nothing else?

When you steal something, unless you give it back you continue to possess something that is not yours. Yet, after a while (when the statute of limitations has run) you can brag about your crime and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

How is this any different from someone who crossed the border illegally and continues to live here illegally? Shouldn't both situations be treated the same? If not, why not?

Let's face it, if the government put more effort and resources into enforcing its current laws against those who employ illegal immigrants more than half the battle would be over. I get that its cheaper to for a company hire someone illegally, pay them less, not pay proper insurance coverage or taxes, and keep them working in substandard conditions that most americans nor the law would allow. I also get how this all comes down to the almighty dollar and feeds into the increased greed among those who continually get rich off the sweat, blood and tears of a population that are clearly and blatantly are being taken advantage of. I understand there are those who'll say americans will not do this work, but my argument would you do back breaking, smelly, underappreciated jobs for, if youre, lucky, a mere eight bucks an hour with no type of benefits and a family to support. With these inhumane conditions, why do you think our goverment continues not to address issues and enforce the law?

Hi,

My girlfriend took our 7 year old son from Jamaica to the U.S. last year and decided to stay after she got there. My son has as a result overstayed his B1 visa.

My mother, a green card holder, has filed for me and has included my son on the I-130 petition. Will the fact that my son has overstayed his time result in him being denied a green card when it comes time to adjust status?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

thanks
mike
