The property is very inexpensive in Texas maybe that's why. I don't exactly know how they are receiving funds to finance their homes but maybe it has something to do with using fake documents or the house is under the name of a legal resident.

Illegal immigrants put down roots in N. Texas
PLANO -- For Alfredo Márquez, a plumber in Richardson and an illegal immigrant, the decision to buy a home in North Texas was easy. "After a while you realize that you're here for a long time, and you don't want to throw your money away by renting," said Mr. Márquez, who also owns a home in his hometown in Mexico, San José Iturbide. "It's a way to set roots and invest in the future." North Texas is attractive for immigrants such as Mr. Márquez because homes are affordable here -- even if you're an illegal immigrant with working-class wages. "New rules and affordable home prices in Texas are leading to an increased number of illegal immigrants buying homes in North Texas," said Marty Martinez, a North Texas real estate agent and board member of the Washington-based National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, or NAHREP. Bank of America has been offering credit cards to customers lacking social security numbers.

All the "special" groups for Latinos have money and then they are also government backed. There is no "special" group for others. Supposidly....owning land is supposed to be the best sure fire investment. You own it....supposidly....they can't take it. Problem is they can and they do for TAXES. I've seen homes ripped out from under people for 1/100th of what it's worth. I can loose my home for medical bills, 1 yrs' worth of taxes...a bad roof.
People are CONSTANTLY preying on people for necessities. That is 1 of the American Dreams....owning a home. Own a home and no matter what happens.....you have a roof over your head. WRONG. The fact you HAVE a roof over your head is the first thing they will take away from you. Kind of like disiplining a teenager. Give them a stero, TV, cell, computer.....it's just more things they can ground you for. They are taking the basics of life now from people for not having the money to pay for it. "It" could be paid for....but you pay for it 10's over in TAXES. You never really OWN anything. Illegals are the latest wave of suckers in the system.

Land is a good investment, the Texas market has been depressed for a while, and, well, they are working. Work enough and you may find yourself with some money.

They are getting funds from their jobs. They have jobs because most recruiters are too stupid to look to see that that particular person's resume may have "Illegal" on there. That sort of doesn't make sense, but if you think about it, Illegals should be honest, in fact, they should be here unless they want citizenship.

Who cares? They are buying homes. You should be more concerned about Arabs and Japanese buying up all the businesses. That's what's going to hurt America. Paco buying a house in Plano, Texas means nothing to me......
