Hi, I checked the issue about applying for citizenship to another country, and what would happen to your US citizenship. Here's what I found. Hope this helps.
If an American citizen were to apply for citizenship in another country, must s/he give up the U.S. citizenship? If not, what are the conditions? What about dual citizenship?
If one takes up citizenship in another country, then the U.S. will consider that person to no longer be a citizen. Incidentally, the same is not necessarily true the other way around. If a person of another country becomes a U.S. citizen then, depending upon the laws of the home country, that country may still consider her/him to be a citizen. There are situations where the U.S. may recognize dual citizenship. For example, a person may have acquired U.S. citizenship through a parent and still be a citizen of another country. The dual citizenship situations generally pertain to citizenship-by-birth, not when the U.S. citizen naturalizes in another country.

Because the US does not recognize dual citizenship when an American citizen becomes citizen of other country. That's the way it is.
It does 'accept' dual citizenship (not necessarily 'recognizes' it) when someone from other country becomes a US citizen.
If the country of origin does not require for that person to give up his citizenship, there's nothing the US can do about it.

America Does allow Dual Citizenship now the Jews changed that but a lot of country's don't ,and I think they are right ,The one I am going to does not so I will be giving my American citizenship up.

If you are applying for another country you don't deserve American citizenship!! They also don't want to deliver their services to non-citizens so you must be one or the other. I often wonder why one would give that which millions are dying to achieve.
