The Senate's bill is a piece of crap! It rewards 20+ million illegal alien CRIMINALS that are breaking our laws.

It will cost taxpayers about $2.5 TRILLION just for the retirement & medicare of the illegals. Over their lifetime it is estimated to cost $1/2 MILLION to care for each illegal. The illegals will be eligible for welfare.

Gang members will be able to get citizenship if they renounce their gangs and sign a paper. Like that will stop them from being in their gangs. Background checks must be done in 1 day - that's impossible! They can't check that fast.

The only ones that have to pay the fines are the ones that apply for citizenship. If they just want to be here legally, there are no fines. Even IF they are suppose to pay there is no way set up to do this.

The ones that are suppose to leave and then come back - how is this suppose to be done and check up on? The illegals have already said they won't leave!

The only ones that benefit from this garbage are the 20+ million criminals that have invaded our country. IT IS NOT FAIR!!!!! America will be bankrupt!

Ahhh another one in love with the amnesty word.Yes the government plans on making all illegal immigrants legal and all citizens criminals.The reward system they are speaking of is actually a merit system based on displacing workers.For every job an illegal takes from an american citizen the illegal recieves $5000.00 in bonus.They will also be given the right to vote and our rights to vote will be limited because the ballots will be written in Spanish only.This whole amnesty thing sucks.Get a hold of your Congressman and say NO to amnesty.But tell them you DO support the bill that protects Americans rights and only let's those Mexicans work and live here on a temporary basis and they MUST learn English,pay taxes. and get no welfare benefits while a temporary worker here.PROTECT AMERICA AND SAY NO TO AMNESTY

The bill would give TEMPORARY legal status to millions of unlawful immigrants, provided they came forward, paid a fine and underwent criminal background checks. To apply for a green card, they would have to pay another fine, learn English, return to their home country and wait in line.

The plan also would create a guest worker program. It would allow foreign laborers to come to the U.S. for temporary stints, yet with no guarantee they can eventually gain citizenship.

Both the new visa plan and the temporary worker program are contingent on other steps coming first. Those include fencing and barriers along the Mexico border, the hiring of more Border Patrol agents and the completion of an identification system to verify employees' legal status.

The legislation would also reshape future immigration decisions. A new point system would prioritize skills and education over family in deciding who can immigrate.

The main reason for this bill is to make businesses happy and to get more money... Some say government will get more money, but it is not so. Government, we are, only spending money to educate, to cure, to secure, and etc. the illegals.

To all those liberals out there... Do not try to replace "amnesty" with other words. If the bill passes all illegals will get AMNESTY. They say it is temporary residency... I want to ask... If they did not want to do anything with illegal while they are illegal (by law), do you think they will do anything to enforce own bill when all illegal will get so-called temporary residency? I don't think so?

well recently there was a bill passed that allows all of the current illegal immigrants in the u.s. to become legal, american citizens... ?!?!?!?!?! why would anyone do that? if we're supposed to feel sorry for all the poor, neglected, abused people in mexico, why don't we let the rest of the world cross our borders? i'm sure there are suffering people in iran and iraq too, i'm sure the'd LOVE to come to america..... basically in a few years, america will be a no man's land..... and when that happens, dude i am off to australia.

Immigration to America in the 17th to 19th century was by decent, hardworking, well intentioned people, heading to America with honorable intentions to build and contribute to society. They created a workable social system with benefits to the deserving and a society of well-intentioned and decent people. But no such people come any more.

Now they come in droves, packing the major cities, causing an increase in crime, congestion, and taxes as real estate rents soar, parking is unavailable or exorbitantly high. Americans who took their entire lives to pay off their home mortgages, now find that the taxes on their homes are so high, they cant afford to live in them any more and the congestion so bad, they cant even find a place to park in front of their own homes. Many have to pack up and move out of the city, just to make ends meet, and then face the arduous daily hours of driving back and forth just to get to work and back home. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like.

They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.

Social parasites from latin america, flock here to live free on us sucker taxpayers, dragging their families and relatives in, once they get green cards and then swamping the health care system with their third world illnesses and birth defects. And the other breed of latinos – criminals of the most evil intensities terrorizing communities in which they rob and kill.

Thieves and common criminals from the countries of eastern Europe and the soviet union, hearing that there is still stuff on store shelves when stores close, that hasn’t been shoplifted or sold, come and steal, with impunity.

Mafia organizations that control Russia and the countries of the former soviet union, setting up foreign crime systems that specialize in grand larceny, weaponry, even nuclear arms materials for sale, stolen from the old soviet system, available for sale to our enemies, raking them million$.

Africans with strange ,deadly diseases walk in, causing epidemics and death to our gay citizens and to innocent people in general and swamping the health care system.

Asians with alien religious philosophies, contrary to Christian monotheism, poisoning the minds of our youth. And they come and take our jobs away here in America, while employers, enticed by cheap labor, move their companies there, leaving us unemployed,.

Terrorists walk in and go about their death tactics with ease and we shudder at what they will do to us next.

All, contributing to crime, violence, social unrest.

Finally, To add insult to this injury, our government picks up the tab for hundreds of
thousands of third world “students” to come, pack our universities tuition free at the expense of us US taxpayers ,while we Americans fall into debt to pay for our own children to get a college education.


AND WE ARE EXPECTED TO PICK UP THE TAB WORLDWIDE
FOR THEM, WHENEVER S--T HAPPENS ANYWHERE.
