Here is the situation... I left the U.S. in 2003 to come back to my country. What was supposed to be a short term leave turned out to be longer. Anyway, I stayed in the U.S. for seven years as a GC holder (I even joined the us army)... This summer i plan to move back for good! What are my options if I want to come back legally (as I don't have a re-entry permit)? Thanks a lot.

Good day!!

I'm seriously thinking of migrating to US, say, 5 to 10 years in the future. By then (10 years later), I'll be 41. I've 3 kids, who will be 18, 14 and 11 respectively.

How do I find out more about which state in the US has good schooling system, good job opportunities (especially in the early childhood field), not racist (to asians), low crimes, and affordable living? How do most Americans find immigrants? And also, what are the necessary immigration laws do I have to abide to or fulfill?

Any websites, suggestions, recommendations or even people you know whom I can liase with, will be greatly appreciated. Please specify the cultures and lifestyles of the state that you are recommending.Thank you for answering!!

My longtime boyfriend left for Colombia July 2006. Shortly thereafter I learned I was pregnant, and he has been trying to return to the US ever since. Unfortunately, he was told that he can not return to the US because he has a visa violation, by not renewing his visa in time. Right now, according to the colombian authorities, even if we get married, he will not be allowed to re enter the US for at least 10 years. This is very discouraging news, especally considering we noow have a bqeauiful baby girl together. Is this information accurate? Any insight would be helpful.

Maybe I didn't make my question clear. (Sorry) Let me attempt it again. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 years we recently had a daughter. We both live here in Las Vegas, NV; he has a case pending under 245i. His brother is sponsoring him since the law came into effect. We are planning on getting married and would like to know if I can also sponsor him, does he amend his application, or is it illegal to have 2 applications submitted to immigration? I'm asking because we both don't know what to do, I'm not all up to date on the immigration buzz.

about the trouble i have over the immigration system, not everyone knows or cares how really bad immigration is to people with familys, but i have a mexican wife traped in mexico and i'm american in the USA, i have a very nice marrage and a good wife for 6 years now, i can't move to mexico to live because we would have no money for anything and i could never afford to return to see my family here in the U.S, she can't come to live here because immigration is waiting us out, until our marrage is no longer practical for us and we end in divorce, so if i can't go their and she can't be here whats to be done about it, I have an approved (I-130) visa document INS now says is only paper, this is breaking us down slowly day by day, should we sue the fed government for pain and suffering, really whats more fair a husband and wife here, or a fuit picker looking for cash to take home, who has more rights to a visa, call a politition you get no return calls what will it take to have my life back.

For example if you went into my q&a and clicked 'my questions' you will see one I tried first to post in general government, then here. It is just a description of a new proposal for immigration reform on Capital Hill, and I have no idea why it hasn't come up.

Dear Readers,
Does anyone else agree about the following things? Now, don't get me wrong, I am fine with legal immigrants but am sick of all of the crap our countries going through because of the illegal ones!

I am very tired of all the Spanish writting, spoken Spanish, people teaching their kids Spanish before English, Dirty diapers in parking lots, Immigration protests, and hearing about how another greasy Mexican National broke the law here in my country. It just gets old!

The truth is, that a LOT of Mexicans here in California HURT more than they help; yet political figures don't do a Goddamned thing about it... We sit and wait to here about something improving, but it never comes and it never will.
They are here to stay and will continue to drain every state of it's municipalities.

Why do true Americans have it so hard? Why do Mexicans get loans easier when WE pay the taxes? What ever Happened to white virtous America?

If not why?
