We want to reduce world population as a country because the earth cannot support this many people and sustain itself. We have been intentionally reducing our birth rate for decades to less than replacement rates. I have two kids, but those who adopt from Africa are saying 'love the kids already here rather than create more while some starve'.

Too altruistic for me, but at least I'M not so warped I can't even understand the altruism.

Neither. OK, I am an American (Indian) woman, with four children by my American (Indian) husband. There is no need to adopt, or have sex with a dwarf. My theory is that It's not a fertility problem here in America, but a whore problem in Mexico.
