They asked for an investigation a while back but it was granted yesterday after it became clear that there had been false statements made to Congressmen regarding the reason the border patrol officers were prosecuted.

"McCaul and several other House members from the Houston area who are involved in the Border Patrol agents' case said the misstatements never would have come to light had they not forced Skinner's office to release an investigative report on the shooting.

The report, released Wednesday with some sections deleted, does not substantiate what McCaul said were some of the more inflammatory claims made by the inspector general's office last fall. The claims included the alleged "shoot a Mexican" comment and an assertion that agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos had no fear for their lives when they fired 15 rounds at the trafficker as he ran back toward Mexico after ditching a van with 743 pounds of marijuana."

What do you think of all of this?

Three representatives of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies will meet Thursday (today) in Washington with U.S. congressional members Nancy Pelosi, Joe Baca, Luis B. Gutiérrez, and Hilda Solís to discuss immigration and human rights.... After that they will travel from Washington to Chicago to visit Elvira Arellano, the Mexican woman who has taken refuge in a church before the authorities can deport her for her lack of papers....

My nephew is a 9y/o boy with a Cardiac problem. He is with my father here in USA. He has a VSD (ventricular septal defect) now his aortic valve is affected too; he needs an open-heart surgery. My sister wanted to be here for his surgery, which is February the 20th, she went to the American Embassy in Mexico today to get a VISA (they call it a "humanitarian VISA"). We got a letter from the surgeon doctor who will make the surgery. She took the letter to the Embassy in Mexico, but they denied the VISA to her, despite the fact that she was showing also a bank account, proof of income and properties in her name, She want's to be here in USA for his son's surgery. My father is going to pay for the surgery, so we are not asking for any government funding like Medicaid or anything like that. We are self-pay for the surgery. I don't understand why they don’t let here to be here for his son's surgery. (They told her she could not get a VISA because she may stay here in USA after the VISA expires) Anybody knows where we can get help, so she can be here for the surgery. It is really important because this was not planned he came for vacations and his health was getting worst while he was here so we thought would be better to have the surgery here in USA. So if she is not here, I (his uncle) and my father will have to take care of him after surgery) any suggestion is appreciated about what we can do to help her to come to USA for that surgery. Thank you

"WASHINGTON -- A "perfect storm" of falling literacy, the changing structure of the economy and rapid immigration threatens to sharply cut US competitiveness and lower living standards, according to a report released Wednesday.

"Unless we do something about it, this society could be swamped," said Kurt Landgraf, Educational Testing Service president."

He cited lower school successes, globalization increasing the divide between the educated and not educated, and mass immigration of poor, uneducated people.

Mexicans care more about marriage and family than United Statesians. Who gives better presents on Valentine's Day?

I say Mexicans because if United Statesians gave good presents then they wouldn't be getting divorced all the time.

DHS memo shows Compean spoke to supervisor immediately after incident

WND has obtained a Department of Homeland Security memo indicating Border Patrol agent Jose Compean made a complete, in-person verbal report to his supervisor at the scene immediately following the shooting incident for which he and colleague Ignacio Ramos are now in prison.

The May 15, 2005, report filed by DHS Special Agent Christopher Sanchez documents a conversation between Compean and his supervisor that explains the decision by all nine Border Patrol agents and supervisors on the scene not to file written reports.

As reported by WND yesterday, a DHS memo filed by Sanchez April 12, 2005, shows seven agents and two supervisors were present at the Feb. 17, 2005 incident also decided not to file written reports.

The April 12, 2005, DHS memo stated that all the agents present at the incident were equally guilty for not filing a written report.

These memos directly contradict the repeated statements of the prosecutor, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, that agents Ramos and Compean filed false reports about the incident.

As far as WND can determine, no written reports were filed by any of the Border Patrol agents or supervisors on the field.

Moreover, the record of the May 15, 2005, memo indicates Compean was truthful in reporting verbally to the most senior supervisor present at the incident.

I say it is the US. It costs $10,000 to file the papers and stuff. Then you could still get denied anyway. No wonder so many people are forced to come illegally.

Tickets, Fines, Fees Crimes that make the city or state money. I know we couldn't live without them but it seems unless it involves the state making money they really don't enforce those kinds of laws

Ex:illegal immigration If they stopped and detained illegal immigrants they couldn't profit from that= no enforcement

Ex:Joint of weed in your car = busted!
