DHS memo shows Compean spoke to supervisor immediately after incident

WND has obtained a Department of Homeland Security memo indicating Border Patrol agent Jose Compean made a complete, in-person verbal report to his supervisor at the scene immediately following the shooting incident for which he and colleague Ignacio Ramos are now in prison.

The May 15, 2005, report filed by DHS Special Agent Christopher Sanchez documents a conversation between Compean and his supervisor that explains the decision by all nine Border Patrol agents and supervisors on the scene not to file written reports.

As reported by WND yesterday, a DHS memo filed by Sanchez April 12, 2005, shows seven agents and two supervisors were present at the Feb. 17, 2005 incident also decided not to file written reports.

The April 12, 2005, DHS memo stated that all the agents present at the incident were equally guilty for not filing a written report.

These memos directly contradict the repeated statements of the prosecutor, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, that agents Ramos and Compean filed false reports about the incident.

As far as WND can determine, no written reports were filed by any of the Border Patrol agents or supervisors on the field.

Moreover, the record of the May 15, 2005, memo indicates Compean was truthful in reporting verbally to the most senior supervisor present at the incident.

There is also after further investigation, a finding that Homeland Security didnt use the FBI for ballistics tests ( which is the normal process ) for confirming if the border patrol agents were the ones who fired the shot that hit the mexican national who was trying to smuggle several hundred pounds of pot into the USA.

Instead they had a local police ballistics man do the test and his test said that any one of 4 different types of guns could have fired it and the test was inconclusive. Yet that information was not put in the report by the homeland security investigator.

Hi, my other woman.Sorry I have not had the chance.

Now , I had no trouble finding the written article where the agents had reported the incident prior to what was reported yesterday.
In case somebody missed it the supervisor that received the report from the agents testified in court they had not reported the shooting. His first name is Richard. I do not know why only the first name was given.Anyway Richard was promoted. I do not know if before or after the trial.

The whole matter is a disgrace. There is no conclusive evidence
that the bullet fragments were even from the gun of the BP.

Why has a judge placed a gag order on just the defence.

Why has the drug dealer been givin a green card.

I am completely sick of this. Rebublican or Democrat if they
are not working to secure our borders they should be impreached for reasons of Treason. Starting at the top, work your
way down.

It is the Federal Governments duty in the U.S. Constitution to protect and defend our borders. Not tell us when we can smoke.
Or where we can live.

Niether Bush nor Pelosi, Republican or Democrat want to secure the border and protect us from DRUG DEALERS, GANGS AND PROSTITUTION.
DHS should be fired he is only providing lip service.

Why are their guard towers being used in Arizona by known drug dealers armed with assault weapons satellite phones.

HI WIFE,

Okay, now it has become apparent to me that Bush has other plans than worrying abou this prominent issue. A couple of others on here have opened my eyes to a couple things. Bush is from texas which i'm pretty sure is pretty reliant on the illegal immigrant workers in the industrial work setting. That would mean money out of his supporters pockets and his own. His term is almost up, and he doesn't want to step on any toes. He's trying to get out without any controversy. I saw on FOX NEWS (the greatest news channel in the world) that bush is scrapping plans to make this border wall, due to the lack of a budget for it. They only have 3 or 4 billion for it yet it requires 11billion. It's a matter of doing it. I'm sure there are many Americans who would gladly build this wall for that price or cheaper.

As far as these border agents. Its obvious that these people who are charging him are sympethizers, and are having their pockets lined by the owners of these illegal ran companies, in order to have a more lax security setting along the border. It sounds like a conspiracy in sorts to me. If a border patrol agent can't shoot someone who he is hired to stop, who attacked him, what's the point of him being there? THese people are too afraid to touch this sensitive subject, and would rather think about the general populations view on the topic rather than what's right.

This situation is very very odd. I think there needs to be an investigation not just into this case but into the conspiracy mindset that caused those defending the prosecution of these officers to think it was ok to lie about them. It doesn't surprise me at all that the decision makers here are from El Paso, a sanctuary city that wants the border fence stopped.

Federal Law Enforcement & Courts & Govt. are seriously remiss
in their handling & enforcement & control of our southern border.
These two Border Patrol Agents should have been completely
cleared and sent back to work within a week of the incident...

Americas Most Wanted featured this story Feb.4th,Did you get to watch it?I thought they did a great job and one thing I had learned about the whole incodent that I didnt know was that the illegal mexican didnt even report he had been shot till a month later? How the hell do they know someone else didnt shoot him for leaving the van of drugs in America! Alot of things seem blotched about the case to me and alot of other Americans. One things for certain they donot belong in jail!
