Now I can admit some of the illegal immigration problem is bad but I don't support the klan though here is the article.
ATLANTA (Reuters) - The white supremacist Ku Klux Klan is on the rise in the United States and is exploiting the issue of illegal immigration to attract new members, according to a new report by the Anti-Defamation League.

The Klan has declined dramatically since the 1960s when its members dressed in white robes, burned crosses and spread terror through lynchings but immigration is helping to revive its fortunes, said the league which monitors hate groups.

"The (Klan's) thinking is that if the average Joe is against immigration then we are against it too. They are trying to gain a foothold in the mainstream community," said Allen Kohlhepp of the league's southeast region on Thursday.

"Ninety percent (of Klan members) will never commit a crime but their rhetoric will influence the one in the group who may go off and do something," Kohlhepp said in an interview.

The secretive Klan probably has several thousand members nationwide and has gained hundreds of new members over the immigration issue and its exploitation of opposition to gay marriage and fear of crime, Kohlhepp said.

It has expanded in parts of the country including the Great Plains and the West Coast where it used to be inactive.

In one example, the Brotherhood of Klans attempted to recruit members in Iowa towns such as Denison and Storm Lake where immigrants from Mexico and Laos have settled recently, the report said.

The Klan fits into the broader picture of right wing militant and neo-Nazi groups that sprang to prominence with the Oklahoma bombing in 1995 but they have been marginalized and weakened by in-fighting, the report said.

They also no longer have close relationships with law enforcement officials and local government that enabled them to spread terror in the Deep South in the decades before the 1960s, said the league's report.

Most Klan members no longer wear white and instead frequently dress like racist skinheads and Neo-Nazis at meetings with whom they cooperate, Kohlhepp said.

About 80 members of the National Socialist Movement and Klan groups met in Laurens, South Carolina, to discuss ways to increase cooperation, the report said.

Klan members remain identifiable at meetings with other groups by the Klan symbol they wear of a red drop of blood in the center of a white cross on a blood red background, said Kohlhepp.

I am not looking for racial answers here. My best friend is from Mexico and even agrees with me on this. My kids are required to learn Spanish at a young age..why don't we take that funding and force the Spanish kids to learn English? There are businesses that have only Spanish signs available. I called 911 a few months back and, no joke, had to press one for English! (Nevada Highway Patrol to be exact).
Now I am not hateful. I have no problem with people wanting to come here for a better life. But learn the language. If you want to be here so damn bad then become American. Don't force my kids and my life to go Mexican. I have never been a person who has disliked any one group, but I have noticed lately that I really resent Spanish speakers. I am sick of it. What can we do as Americans to get our country back?

Lets say the U.S government kicks all the illegal immigrents out the U.S,who is going to pick your fruit,clean your houses,cut your lawns,do your bed in your hotel room? I found this letter to the President today. To be fair it was written by a Conservative Talk Show Host. Please read and comment on the issues he points out.

Subject: Vacation in Mexico

Dear Mr. President,

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, And I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family .
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy. I know this is an easy request b ecause you already do all these things for all t he people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

I have a problem with my views on illegal immigration because of my religion. I am Christian. However, i do believe illegal immigrants do not belong here. Still, I don't agree with what most anti-illegals say, for instance KILLING people who cross the border and such.

What do you side with more, your political views, or what your religion has taught you?

we want to start a life together in the uk. i am english , i live in north wales uk. he is american and lives in kentucky, we want to be together asap...what does he need to do to live here with me permant. he is not yet divorced but his wife has filed for divorce and ordered him to pay child support. what are his chances of just coming here ..what does he need eg visa passport and what qualifies him or what would restrict him.
