The equivalent of a Green Card in Australia is Permanent Residence. To obtain permanent residence you will need to meet the requirements for one for the permanent residence visas, e.g. General Skilled Migration, Spouse, Parent, etc...

Maybe ask another question that is more specific to the type of visa you wish to apply for.

I'm half American-half Aussie, dual citizen, so what I'll tell you is true. In Oz, we don't have green cards. In USA, we have green cards for our permanent residents. If you want Aussie permanent residency you could apply as a Skilled Migrant, if you have any of the skills that are in short supply in Oz. Also, you could get an employer to sponsor you for a work visa or for permanent residency. Check out the immigration website.

They dont have green cards in australia,they have work visa.
