This month armed gunmen attacked a National Guard observation post on the Mexican boarder. I'd really like to see comments from all those thay say all the people coming across the boarder just want a better life and are good people who love this country.

I find it funny that people give the eastern europeans such a hard time about coming over here (me included) but what about the "antipodian" populus of london. I am well aware that many young brits go to places like australia to work. But lets face it, its not for the pay, its for the experience. (the money is c**p). Is it becuase they come from english speaker countries and thus dont incur such resentment. Ive heard many an aussie with the plan to work in london and then send the money home, so its not exactly going back into the economy. Id love to know the figures and ive struggled to get work in the tv industry because its full of aussie, kiwis and saffers.

It is because there are 3 million illegal aliens in the state all living off wages that are below minimum wage. Or is it because they are having so many babies they cannot afford to take care? The government pays for nearly everything for the children of illegal aliens. Also, 95% of illegal aliens don't pay taxes since they enjoy working under the table.

Illegal aliens make 300,000 babies yearly and taxpayer pick up the costs for the babies.

This has been asked to death. You have folks who say "live and let live" and "let them in".... All races make up illegal immigrants so let not make this a racist now. You have hispanics who "assume" that everyone is harping on them, etc etc.

My question is to those who do say "live and let live" and let them all in... Are you folks going to pay for them? Are you going to pay for the increase in social spending? What is your plan to pay for the drain on social services in towns and cities? Or should all Americans foot the bill which will hurt the middle class and raise our taxes to support non-citizens?

Your forgetting this is not a socialized society (thank God), there is still personal responsibility and you have to make it yourself. You cant keep always asking for a hand out....

Everyone seems to be so against immigration. With the main problem about them taking our jobs.

But you see if they take a job the money they get they spend on food, rent, taxes and other stuff. This all goes back into the economy providing someone else with a job. It's what I call the economic balance. It's things like education which is the foundation of a successful economy which effects the balance.

Also they come over for a better life. And sometimes because there lives were threatened. Also remember that in colinial times we took there land, so why shouldn't they take ours.lol

They're not actually taking over our nations and destroying our traditions. Take Australia, 25% of people there were born in a different country, and it makes the country a nicer place. The USA should allow lots of immigrants as that's how the nation started because of European settlers. They took the land from the indians so the US ought to allow immigrants.

Can anyone prove me wrong?

The contest originally stated parents must be of legal status. Toys r us first said they couldn't award the prize, then took it back. Hopefully the right thing can be done and the parents can be sent home. When they apply to enter legally, things will be done correctly.

Cause number one is on the Mexican side of the border - their blatantly corrupt political system which taxes them into poverty and offers no services - like JOBS - in return.

That part is THEIR problem to deal with.

OUR problem is American employers who are all to willing to HIRE them - at near SLAVE wages. - Oh - but we turn a blind eye to that because we like affordable products - don't we.

Can you imagine what a bottle of ketchup would cost if Americn UNION workers were being paid to produce it?

Is John Q. Taxpayer paying to deport people? Have you looked at how much international air fare is? Who's paying for that. Not all of these illegal aliens are from Mexico or Canada where we can pile them into a bus and truck them back. But who's paying for that?

if one has stayed in the uk longer than 6 months, and buys a ticket to go back to their country, will they be deported? do they actually look to see how long you have been in the country? if some one has web page links that would be helpful. if one is going to be deorted anyway, theres no need to spend money on a ticket. i am not asking for myself, so pls no rude remarks LOL :)

So many people are let into the country and live off benefits and abuse our welfare system. Don't get me wrong I know plenty of brits abuse our welfare system as well but I have read about illegal immigrants who commit crimes, then are released and live in council houses on benefits! I think this is unfair, especially as I know someone who is an immigrant, works hard, has never been in trouble, and the government still give him a hard time with all the paper work.

What do you think? is this a problem in other countries?

The thing is why do they do that? Nobody from here was actually from here. We all emigrated from England and Africa Mexico etc. Even though we pay taxpayers money to fund a lot of immigrants, they came here to live the “American dream”. We could help them.
I also see why people don’t like illegal immigrants, they snuck there. Some people living here are refugees from their country.

Some of them are legitimate and want to learn English. So why do people be inconsiderate and slap labels on them, especially when they speak their native language. If they do that it doesn’t mean that they don't know English. I also hate when people automatically think I’m stupid because I came from another country, especially when I visit my cousins in Miami.

FYI, I am not an immigrant my parents are and they have citizenship.
