The thing is why do they do that? Nobody from here was actually from here. We all emigrated from England and Africa Mexico etc. Even though we pay taxpayers money to fund a lot of immigrants, they came here to live the “American dream”. We could help them.
I also see why people don’t like illegal immigrants, they snuck there. Some people living here are refugees from their country.

Some of them are legitimate and want to learn English. So why do people be inconsiderate and slap labels on them, especially when they speak their native language. If they do that it doesn’t mean that they don't know English. I also hate when people automatically think I’m stupid because I came from another country, especially when I visit my cousins in Miami.

FYI, I am not an immigrant my parents are and they have citizenship.

first off, I am half native American so some people aren't immigrants but lived here to begin with and had people come here and take away there land. I guess some people can have a chip on their shoulder for that like others have a chip on theirs for other things. But It is not legal immigrants that I have a problem with, it is people who come here don't pay taxes but still get medicaid, wic and all help and benefits that our taxes pay for that I cant even receive myself. I understand wanting to come to america I am a proud american But what makes the country great are our laws and rights and when people come here and take advantage of our rights and break our laws it makes me a little angry.

It wouldn't matter if you were Mexican. No one ethnicity is better than another. We are all the same in God's eyes. People shouldn't hate anyone. Hate is like cancer; it spreads. It's just that at this point in time we have so many illegals that it has become an economic burden on our country, so many feel that something has to be done. Immigrating legally would probably be the best solution. But I guess you really can't blame anyone for looking for a better life. It's a moral, yet economic dilemma. I wish that we could care for the rest of the world, but I don't see how it's possible.

People disagree with illegal immigration because we all have an innate sense of what is fair and what isn't. It may be a childish reaction, but it's not fair that some people work hard and wait a long time to get into this country and others who are citizens here pay tax money that supports those who shouldn't be here.

When you look at a group of kids on the playground waiting patiently in line for a slide, then you see another kid walk up, push in front and go down the slide, do you think that's an okay thing? Would you ever teach your kids (or anyone's kids) that it's okay to just push your way into whatever you want? I'd hope not. It's not fair for little kids and it's not fair for adults.

I don't know if they hate immigration, just massive immigration from certain parts of the world. I'm Canadian, but the U.S. is a great place and people want to live there because of it's ideas, traditions and culture. I think many Americans are rightly concerned about immigrants who don't want to become american and who want to fundamentally change the nature of the country.

It's ILLEGAL immigration we are opposed to. It is ILLEGAL which means it is against the law.

Americans are not all immigrants. Some of us had ancestors here 30,000 years ago. There were no laws on 'immigration' then, and there was no one to oppose the 'migration'.

Others who came here from Europe, came here before there were laws on the books to be enforced. Others came legally through Ellis Island at a time when this country was eager for new people to help build our country up. The poem on the Statue of Liberty was submitted by a young girl in a contest, it is not our LAW. It was submitted to encourage people to come here, but not illegally.

If people from other countries want to come here they are welcome to do so LEGALLY. We cannot allow all the poor people of the world to illegally enter our country and expect the taxpaying citizens to support them through welfare, free medical, subsidized housing and free education. They must be capable of supporting their families without assistance and they must come the legal way as do immigrants from all other countries.

What upsets me about it is not so much the immigrants themselves. If I had a chance to move somewhere with greater opportunities to live a better life, I'd take it. But what upsets me is businesses hiring them for lower wages. I understand the immigrants work for lower wages because they are much higher than what they get at home. But at this rate, our society will be nothing but slaves owned by a fraction of a percent of the population.

People hate immigration because it means change. It takes them out of their comfort zone. It means accepting something different.

Or maybe they learned something from history. If the native americans could be slaughtered so easily and pushed onto reservations with their livelihoods taken away and left to sniff gasoline to get high to find something to fill their lives, then maybe this next wave of immigrants might do the same thing to them.

I don't hate "immigration." That means that people are here and are obeying the law. It's ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS (the ones that sneak across the border, take jobs from legal citizens, demand services, and pop out kids that we have to pay for). that I have a huge problem with.

SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST IGNORANT ON THING LIKE THAT. THEY THINK THEY OWN THE USA, THEY DON'T EVEN REALIZE THAT THEIR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS CAN ALSO
COME FROM ANOTHER COUNTY. WHICH THEY NEED TO
LOOK TO SEE WHERE THERE ANCESTORS REALLY CAME
FROM. IF THEY HAVE A REAL SMALL FAMILY AND I MEAN SMALL FAMILY AND WAS BORN HERE IN ONE STATE, THEN
FINE BE IT AS YOU MAY. BUT NOT EVERYONE CAN SAY
THEY DO NOT HAVE RELATIVES LIVING ELSE WHERE
IN THIS WORLD. WE ARE LIVING IN A BIG WORLD AND
SOMEBODY IS LIVING SOMEWHERE. SO IGNORE THE
IGNORANT PEOPLE AND LIVE A HAPPY LIFE WITH YOUR
FAMILY AND FRIENDS. AND ENJOY YOUR LIFE AS WHO
YOU ARE.

The entire planet has evolved by migration. As we became civilized, we established borders, laws, rules, consequences....and we also incorporated enforcement.

My question to you is why is it OK for ALL other nations to have immigration laws...but not fair for America to have them?

Another question...why should Americans pay the way for the world? Most third world countries have wealth and choose to shuffle their people to us rather than be responsible. The greed is not with us, it is with the offending nations. See what Mexico has done with a plan to offer GPS units to illegals leaving their country.

I am sorry people label you. That is not fair...but realize that illegals who may resemble you have put this on you as well.

Illegals cost us tax money we should be using for our own. We send billions all over the world...we do plenty of charity work....and we are incredibly generous people....

Here is just one aspect of the cost of illegals.
