Why are the left wing people offended on behalf of others?

I do not think that the muslims are to blame for things such as"winter wonderland"instead of Christmas.iraqis are only asked for there opinion once in a blue moon whilst the so called british white expert seems to vent his anger at his own country at every opertunity he gets the chance to.To all the do gooders taking offence on behalf of others.Stay out of it.let the iraqis talk about iraq,let muslims talk if christmas offends them and get a life

What you'll find is that the vast majority of those that complain about these things are either extreme examples of the community they claim to represent or else middle class white idiots who believe they are being right on, as they see, stepping up it the mark to make a stand. I just think they have little else to do and need to find a few proper friends and a job that actually lets them meet real people and not the sterotypes that they themselves now are.
These people do not represent the huge majority of those that they claim to stand up for and only do so in order for them to be seen as being defenders of a perceived downtrodden part of society. In other words they are idiots who only stand up to represent themselves and promote their own ideals, not those that they claim to be standing for. They work so hard to be seen to be right on that they have forgotten they reason for being right on, to help assimilate people into the society they have chosen to come to .
I am a confirmed Tory and cannot understand these people who claim to take on causes that they know little to nothing about. Why don't we ask the community leaders of the different nationalities within this country as to how they view our celebrations/customs. We should explain that these celebrations/customs are part of the country and society that we and they belong to and that all people should join in, rather than exclude a part of society or the custom. I have spoken to them and the people who have come here from other countries want to join in but feel they can't and it's not because of racists it's because of the do-gooders. They have informed me that people have told them that the likes of Christmas isn't relevant and so they shouldn't feel the need to join in, and if they are offended by an overt Christian display then they should complain. Bollocks. These traditions do not discriminate against non Christians. Is there such a kick up about how satanists feel?
Lets not split the country. People have come here from other places and I believe they are willing to be included in the UK history and customs. The UK has always been a place for people from other places to settle and every time throughout history they have brought a custom here that has been gradually accepted as our own.
Integrate, not segregate is my view. This can only succeed as long as we realise our customs are not wrong, the people coming to UK have customs which are not wrong and that we should accept those that choose to stay here and integrate with the people of the UK.
There are may arguements about Iraq. Personally I believe that we shouldn't be there, but resolutely back the troops who are there. They have been sent to do a difficult job and need our support and would recommend that any women reading this write to a squaddie through the MOD and give him a boost. It is Blair that is to blame for the deaths of our boys there, no one else. He sends young men and women out there but yet he's meant to be from a left wing party? What a pile of knob.

I agree that it's not Muslims, Hindus etc. who make a fuss about Christmas, but I don't think it's do-gooders either. I've come to the conclusion that there are 'secularists' in this country who find all religion offensive. These people may allow 'foreigners' (ie Muslims) their funny little ways, perhaps because their culture seems so alien, but these atheists get offended when it comes to white middle-class Brits wanting to proclaim their Christianity; they see it as an affont to their own 'logic' and want to see Christianity removed completely from public life.

An example of PC-ness that I don't understand is the statue of Alison Lapper Pregnant which has been put in Trafalgar Square. It is a very large statue of a naked, heavily pregnant woman who is disabled. I dislike it: I think her pregnancy should be a private thing. I would be wiling to bet that all devout Muslims who see it also find it offensive, because they are required to cover the body from chest to knees, I believe, and many non-Muslims would feel that it is inappropriate. But the same kind of people who go out of their way to de-Christianise Christmas in case it offends other faiths have put up this statue, presumably to promote a disabled person as beautiful. Because it suits them to do so.

you have the right attitude on this matter people should do what they think is right and say tuff to the people that cant comprehend common sence , we have turned into a country of cowards well most anyway . Another thing that people have to realise is this is done to divide and conquer and is mostly manipulation to drive a wedge between different cultures , most foreigners dont care about christmas or any other custom in this country for people to say silly little things affend the minorities is rubbish and even if it did so what its tuff.

If anyone is offended by our Christian Festivities,our Culture,our traditions,our Beliefs,why, then, are they in the United Kingdom? Iraqi's can talk about what they like,so of course, can Muslims.
