Do they do housework and cooking? I do not like Mexican food , can they cook in French? I like my housework done in English only, my cooking in French and my windows in German, Please. I will only allow them in if they are 125lb and have no muchachos, please. -:)

PAIN!!
Atleast here in the southeast. They are a economic drain on the government. They are driving average wages down, which was already lower than national average. It is a sad day when a hard working, tax paying, American barely can afford health insurence while illegals gets it for FREE. Our public schools are over crowded and our Test scores have plummeted. Every year young children are dropped off, and I do mean dropped off, at our local schools, and the children can not speak no English, teachers have no Idea who they are or who to even call if an emergency happened.
They live with several other families in a single family home. Along with them, they bring drugs and prostitution rings. Crime rates have risen by over 700%, however most new crimes are occuring by illegals to illegals because they will not openly report the crimes because of fear of being exported (Murders and rape to name a few). However, gangs are beginning to form.
People say they are taking jobs that american will not do, but here they will work cheap because like I said before, several familes spilt all bills. How can a American work for less money than what it takes just to pay his housing and utility bills??? Before they got here 5 years ago local americans where doing those jobs. Also, they live like they did in Mexico, they trash their entire neighborhood with garbage.
I am not racist and I have several latino american friends who are legal, but this is ridiculous. I will admit I have meet several illegals who are hardworking and are here to give their families a better life but as more arive also does the bad ones too. The illegals also send alot of their money back to Mexico, thus taken money that would have been spent in the local communities.
What strikes me so odd is that they broke the law to be here and our government is spending and sending money to those schools and healthcare providers to pay for their expenses. The Ironic thing about this to me is that they KNOW THEY ARE HERE and they do nothing. And we, the taxpaying americans are paying for it while alot of us can not afford our own healthcare insurence and we do without. I personally have a college BS degree and it takes 25% of my income just to pay for my lousy insurence. My statement are neither false nor exaggerated because I personally see this occuring with my own two eyes.
I personally believe that the reason the government isn't doing anything about this is because the politicians and their supporters are making a fortune off of the illegals cheap labor.
2 Weeks ago early saturday morning, i was going to some land I had leased to deer hunt on and as I entered the property a car and a illegal male and female were sleeping in the car. I asked them what they were doing here and they could not speak hardly any english. The male know I was not happy and he said " like the women, take her if you like" I told him and the woman to get in the car and leave which they did. This is the kind of people that are coming here.
Last summer a illegal family moved next to on of my friends house. One of the males would go out the front porch and urinate off of it. My friend asked them to stop doing that because he was doing it infront of his wife and children. He acted like he couldn't speak no english but after a while and when at gun point from my friends gun he began to speak english fluently.

I think its just all political bullshit, no one in the White House or Congress will do anything about this issue. They did nothing but bring up this immigration issue, following the aftermath of 9-11. Also, until today has still not come up with a plan to address the illegal immigration issue. So, we are all just getting lip service and nothing more then that. The States that are taking it in their own hands needs to be supported and applauded for their efforts.

I guess I would be indifferent, I live very near (have to drive through everyday) one of the largest populations of Hispanics (don't know if they are illegal or not, they don't wear signs) in Phoenix. They can irritate me by driving so slowly but then so do the snow birds, but other than that it is the same as living anywhere else, it has no effect on my daily living. I have said before Phoenix needs to worry about red light runners.. I think we are like the top third in the nation for red light running deaths and our auto insurance is very high.

in the midwest: indifferent, but think they waste tax dollars
in the west: some are a pain, some are nice. the ones in front of home depot are nice; workers available at a good price; friendly; the ones who work the farmlands are nice;
i suggest you rent "a day without a mexican".

In most ways I feel sorry for them do to the fact that they will work for lower wages, but the goverment makes it so hard for the ones that really do want to do honest work. People shouldn't be door mats. Do you know at most Mexican Resteraunts the Mexican have to pay a set fee to work there, and then only get tips in return?

Pain. They cost the US $70 billion. They also have murder rates that are double the citizens' murder rates. They are a slap in the legal immigrants' faces, especially legal immigrants from Mexico (Mexico is the main problem with illegal immigration).
