I am an American citizen in LOVE with a French man. We have been seeing eachother until he was finally REFUSED entry to the US because of his numerous visits and they found out he did little freelance jobs too. I have not finished my studies so i cannot really go to him as much.

We have decided to just marry to make our situation better. (we were planning to marry anyways) I understand its easier to marry in the foreign country. So i plan to do it, but how long and is it expensive for the process to go through? Is it better to use an immigration lawyer? We want to be together asap!

Also, i may not have enough income to show i can support him too, so can my parents file their incomes too?

Anyone with info, i'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks, and please dont leave your immature and stupid comments if you intend on it.

It has been brought to my attention that those who ignore the mistakes from the past are doomed to repeat them. This may ring true so how do we rectify the mistake of letting all these illegal invaders/immigration aliens in to the USA and how should we go about getting them the hell out of the USA!

"Just as many women from Mexico struggle to make sure their babies are born in the United States and entitled to American citizenship, thousands of mainland women go to elaborate lengths to make sure that their babies are born in Hong Kong. This entitles their babies to permanent residency — including a free education, subsidized health care and more, as part of Hong Kong's British-inspired welfare policies."

Clearly it is the benefits and schools for their children that draws them here, NOT only the jobs. Yet there is huge resistance here to removing those magnets.

Why?

"U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) today introduced legislation to require that the first step of comprehensive immigration reform be to secure the U.S. borders. His legislation also spells out in detail the increased manpower, equipment and technology necessary to stop the flood of illegal immigrants into our country.

Isakson’s legislation would prohibit implementation of its guest worker program until the Department of Homeland Security certifies to the President and to the Congress that the border security provisions in the immigration legislation are fully funded and operational.

Those border security provisions that must be in place before a guest worker program can begin are spelled out in Isakson’s bill and they include five main items:

Here is what FAIR thinks:

"What we will hear from President Bush on Tuesday will be a radical immigration agenda that is designed to satisfy business's demands for an endless supply of low wage labor, but one that will represent a looming disaster for the vast majority of Americans," predicted Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). "For Americans who work for a living, who pay taxes, send their kids to public schools, care about the environment, or who believe that a nation is more than just a random collection of people who happen to share a piece of geography, what the president will call for will be the undermining of their hopes and aspirations."
