i have thought of this myself, it solves two problems- immigration and lack of military recruits. anyone willing to support this country qualifies as a better citizen than i'll ever be.

First of all, why would the militry allow foreign citizens. How do you know that the person is not a spy. Anyway, you Americans are dumb anyway. Look I am from Malaysia and have worked & lived in the US for some years.
I have never seen more stupid questions raised than in the US. Sure no nation is perfect & believe me you can find a list of things wrong about Malaysia (rights abuse bla bla bla) but can you imagine how stupid you idiots are if this is actually a serious question?. I mean why would a Mexican want to join the US Army in the first place?. Would you accept Chinese citizens applicants to the US army?. What would happen if these people steal national security secrets/information for the Chinese government, well I am sure you Hispanics will cry bloody murder because its the Chinese we are talking about right but if we replace the Chinese with Hispanics, all of a sudden its racial.
You think the Mexican army would accept someone who is not a Mexican national into their army. Anyway, if I told you that I am currently working in Hermosillo, Sonora, would you believe that most of the Mexicans I am working with here think that the US are a bunch of idiots anyway for taking in all the refuse Guachos from Mexico.

Did you know they already do and at the end of a four year enlistment they are given citizen status.No i don't support it.I don't like the idea they can get out of the military and then decide to go into law enforcement,its a scary thought and being pulled over by some a$$hole mexican with a hard on for Americans might mean jail for me or the needle when i end his career as a cop!

Because the whole country nowadays is here solely for the dollar and is a land of Mercenaries. Maybe we should have a force equal to that of the French foreign Legion. Adapt it like the french. It is a 5 year tour. If you go AWOL you are never given amnesty

No I would not. I would only want legal, law abiding citizenry in the military. This is not to say that there are not perverts, rapists, and other criminals already existing in the military, but at least they are legal citizens. (However, all lawbreakers of that ilk should be ousted from this country!) What part of "BECOME A LEGAL CITIZEN" are you illegal alien supporters just not getting?

Not if it is just a way to send more troops to Iraq or Iran or any of the other oil rich countries the US troops are occupying under our corrupt government. I understand what you're saying. But unless we're being invaded and they are willingly defending us, it doesn't matter. They will just have to do the paperwork and be patient and come legally.

I would support it but they would have to become a US citizen to join the US military. The only ones who are not US citizens that are in the US military are from US territories such as Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.
