It has been brought to my attention that those who ignore the mistakes from the past are doomed to repeat them. This may ring true so how do we rectify the mistake of letting all these illegal invaders/immigration aliens in to the USA and how should we go about getting them the hell out of the USA!

Excellent question. Very thought provoking. If I had a time machine and actually had some power...ie magial Queen of Swords LOL I would have closed the border as soon as we annexed the south western states. I would have a very clear passage in the history books (and later tv and stuff) what happened so there would be no confusion later. Even undereducated people would not be tricked into thinking that we are invaders or that this land is disputed territory. There would have been no worker program. Only citizens of this country would be allowed to live and work here. No importing workers and no outsourcing. Employers would have to operate here, and take the time and expense to find trainees that were American citizens. Of course this would extend to no welfare or other benefits for foreigners, whether tourists, or third world countries. Tourism would be allowed if all tourists were documented and seen into and out of the country. Their whereabouts should be known and it should be someone's job to do that. Not harrass them. Just know they have money to travel and their itinerary like they do in Canada. If they don't exit when they say so, for their sake and ours, someone should check up on them. English should have been made the official language. ALL OF THIS could still be done. It's not too late.

AS you may suggest, history repeats itself. Not that slavery is germain to illegal entry but once they got here ...however you may look at it, they ultimately became citizens. Currently, not making a judgement here, 60% of prison inmate are Black males.
Wonder why?
Could we be headed for the same reciepy with allowing illegals entry on an amnesty basis?
Seems like folks who come here legit do very well. And I know of a spinkling of illegals that have done well.
But any country that allows roughly a 10% influx of illegality to enter and undermine it's system and structure is playing with fire in the short run and the long run.
Doesn't seem to me that America is that desperate for more people who come here unscreened and do so willingly as criminals ...and then act the way these people do.
My opnion: I think we are in trouble and heading down.

If we could go back, I would like to see our country enforce the laws to begin with. We wouldn't have 'so MANY' people illegally in our country. I have no problem with people entering legally. We had legal procedures way back when (IDK). If it cost too much to enter, well those people needed to go to a country that didn't cost so much, not enter our country illegally. We had a price on it for a reason. We had temporary work programs. Anyone overstaying should have been deported THEN, and not allowed to participate in the program again. Those programs should have been monitored. If a program or process cannot be monitored or maintained properly, it shouldn't be started.

Had we enforced those laws, monitored those people then, the problem would not be so overwhelming NOW.

As for what to do now. Clean up the mess.
*Close the border
*Build a tall, climb-resistant fence
*Militarize the borders (north AND south)
*Have checkpoints for those with legal documents to enter
*Deport any found in the USA illegally
*Allow officials (County/City police, State Patrol, Fed. and State public assistance offices, credit reporting agencies, IRS, Banks, loan officers, anyone who takes an application, or goes into a contract with them) to report any suspicious or unusual discrepancies to ICE for investigation. Any of those who feel they need identification and proof of legality, should be free to ask without fear of repercussions. It shouldn't be against the law to ask, but it is ALREADY against the law to be unable to prove legality.
*Take away their incentives to come here or stay here
*Make it against the law to hire anyone without proof of citizenship.
*Make people aware that if they harbor, rent to, or sell a home to an illegal immigrant, they stand the possibility of a stiff fine.
*abolish the "anchor baby" misunderstanding
*Reduce ALL immigration to 200,000 per year in order to get the level of our population to a controllable, sustainable number.

Take all these things and enforce them, many illegal immigrants will leave on their own. It will send a clear message to those with thoughts of coming here illegally that they might need to think again. Life will no longer be paid for by the American citizens. Illegal entry will no longer be tolerated in the USA. They "gravy train" is out of steam. It has been derailed.

I'm glad someone had the insight to bring that to your attention. :)

How about this; America has been fighting the war on illegal immigrants, the war on drugs, the war on poverty, etc... and they're losing all those wars. Maybe it's time to stop the wars and find constructive ways to deal with the problems. Start building bridges and looking for conciliatory, supportive ways to take bad situations and make something positive of them. Address the root causes rather than the superficial symptoms, or you'll be applying band-aids forever...while the disease gets worse and worse.

The war on immigration is a war that can never succeed. The immigrants keep coming and all that's accomplished by making them the enemy is a great deal of social upheaval and dissension throughout American society. Vast groups of people are alienated... not just illegals but legal immigrants and the communities that are bound to the illegals through family, friendship and work. Not to mention those Americans who support the illegals for moral, philosophical and humanitarian reasons.

The illegals aren't going anywhere. At least the vast majority of them aren't going anywhere. And to make them the enemy makes all those who are involved with them or in support of them the enemy as well. So, that's not 13 million people. That's more than 100 million people.

That's the price. Deep divisions and anger (resulting in a plethora of social ills), and for what? Nothing. The illegals are staying in America.

So, accept that fact and make something positive out of it. Make the illegals work for the good of America, allowing them the chance to create worthwhile lives for themselves while they contribute their efforts to making the U.S. more successful.

By all means, firm up the borders, make it more difficult for illegal immigrants to get in, but whatever the results of that, make it manageable and make the U.S. response to future illegal immigration such that it does more good than harm, especially in terms of what it does to the country and to American society as a whole.

You cannot have a populace entrenched in diametrically opposed positions. A house divided against itself will not stand.

No one is going to get what they want, but it's possible to create something that everyone can live with.

Allowing anchor babies, the last amnesty by Reagan, not building the wall sooner, and not enforcing immigration laws. I really like Reagan but he really screwed up on that one.

We brought in Mexicans to pick our crops -- fruit, nuts, veggies, even tobacco. Why are we surprised that some would stay, want their families, bring others? We should have done our own work, regardless of how hard or dirty or low paying it was.

i am canadian. i think immigration laws should be alot tougher. they are leaving their countries because they are unhappy, so they bring their problems here. so they get to collect welfare, and be an absolute burdon to society. there should be a 5 year waiting period for welfare, and / or a ticket home. why do you think the government shells out so much welfare?? they should have to work like the rest of us. if they wanna work, great, if not, too bad, feed yourself.

We need immigration laws like we had in say the 1950s, and enforce them like we did back then.
