There are an estimated 50000 Irish illegals in the USA. These are not economic immigrants. Ireland is much more prosperous that America by any measurements. Unemployment is non existent in modern Ireland.
Most Irish in the US go for the unparalleled experience of living in the "capital of the world". Many go on a short term visa, set down roots, and are afraid to return home in case they can't get back in.
Should they be legalized?

For many years there has been great anti-Irish prejudice in Britain. It was somewhat understandable when crowds of Irish people were emigrating to Britain for work.
Ireland has had full employment for seven years now. We are one of the wealthiest nations in the world on a per capita basis (second only to Japan) according to The Economist.
Yet many British still think Irish are freeloaders taking their jobs. Why?
Proportionately more British are coming to Ireland looking for work.

Now I know that not all of the Country's Illegal Immigrants are of Mexican/Hispanic descent. There are people from Europe, Africa, Asia. So why is everyone blaming Mexico for all the problems? Isn't it a little racist to just blame everywhere under the US? Obviously Mexico is closer but what about the nationalities that come here illegaly to this country? So isn't there a little racism being shown here by Americans when the topic of immigration comes up?

i am not racist i have friends from lots of different back grounds! But i feel the goverment is making us dislike all the assylm seekers because they come here and get everything! they get benifits housing cars and god know what else and we get nothing! my friend split from her partner and had to sell her house! she has a 5 yr old and can't get rehoused she is having to live in a hostel! she applys for houses every week but they wont give her anywhere because the assylm seekers get first choice. i feel this is unfair! does anyone agree with me on this one?

Has someone swapped the Uk with Poland whilst I slept or am I going mad? Every where go I am surrounded by Polish people. Every waitress in every restaurant is polish.
