1. Because the western world was once the "new world" where many different cultures came to, so there was not a need for it in other places.

2. It is not ONLY white dominated countries. However, this is because many countries where whites are not the majority are often still 3rd world countries because they still have indigenous groups living there.

3. To be honest, I don't know. Its sad, but I don't know. With the situation in Africa, you really have to look back in history and see how they were treated. Until recently, blacks were NOT considered equal and its hard to catch up to a lifetime of being considered inferior. It can also be because they did not have power over their country for such a long time. Look at Eastern Europe. The reason why these countries are so poor is because it was being controlled by Russia for so long.

1. That's not true, but then again, all these questions are based on majority, so I'll go from your perspective. Many people immigrate here, bringing their culture and background with them over because we are purportedly the land of the free (going with the US here). HA! They think there's a chance to create a better life here in the "white western world" as you deem it because we apparently appealed to a lot of them moreso than their current countries, which may have set restrictions on their lives. More and more come with such thoughts on their minds, and now, we're just a big mesh of cultures now, thus multiculturalism! Ohhh... be awed by my logic! lol

3. We have more resources because we settled into a land full of capital. That's why we're able to make so much money versus other countries. Ergo, we get to have the top-class medicines and adequate education. Industrialism worked big time for us. Besides, that belief of all cultures and races being equal may be a great IDEAL, but competitiveness, nationalism, and racism amongst other things have pretty much squashed that thought.

To answer your first question, multiculturalism exists in the Western Hemisphere because the people and governments wanted it to exist. Take a look around sometime, there are not only whites here. There are all races, creeds and nationalities.

2. If you are asking why people immigrate to the west it could be because they see a better opportunity in the west than they do in their own country.

There could be many reasons for this, not the least of which could be the fact that many "non white" countries are ruled by ruthless dictators who rob their own countries blind and then complain about how bad their countries have it. Case in point, Saddam Hussein in Iraq. One of the worlds richest men, stole so much money, even he lost count. Yet had the nerve to claim that children were starving because of sanctions. I could go on, Kil Jong Il in N. Korea is another example. Glorious houses, personal rail car with gold fixtures, extensive wine collection, yet he allows his people to starve and begs other countries for aid.
The list could go on and on, these are just two examples so before you blame the "white western world" look at the country internally first.

That's the first time I've ever heard that, it's interesting, but I don't believe it.

To answer the initial questions, I think much of it has to do with European (white, caucasian, anglo-saxon, etc....) advancement in agriculture and the sciences.

Whether it be immigration or multi-culturalism, non-indiginous (i.e. non-white) people will want to come to caucasian countries becuase of abundance. As one of the posts above me pointed out, some people are obese becuase of said abundance.

America in particular has the Bill of Rights and the Consitution which is known, in one way or another, to other countries. They see America in particular as a place where they can live easily and happily, but easily and happily was simply not the case before caucasian people arrived. The reason it's so good now is becuase of hard work and sacrifice.

That is so easy. Listen back b4 slavery was abolished, the white domibated the americas. Slaves were needed to produce crops, such as tobacco, then sugar and later on cotton. White slaves were tried out at 1st but they were useless. then they tried black slaves and they were more efficient and were used to hot cllimatic conditions. The master (white men) segregated the blacks making a group feel like they are more superior than the other group and the white s also made the slaves feel like the whites were better and will always bethe dominant race.

in present day most people are still mentally enslaved that whites are better and represent the dominat race, so they will always migrate to white dominant countries because whites will allow immigrants (illegal) to work for chaep labour as they did back in 1832 with the indentured servants from Madeira, China and India therefore whit dominated countries, theree wil always be a multi ethnic background because of the jobs illegal immigrants can find. I think it's time for you to go back to basic geography classes... You are confused in way too many things. There are multiculturalism in many countries other than developed ones, and there aren't in many countries where the majority is white people. There are also many developing countries where the majority is white people. The former Soviet Union countries for instance. By the way japan is a economy power locate in Asia, full of asian people in it. Go do some research before you make a fool of yourself. Presumptuousness will defeat you.

The reason why some of your countries have starving and diseases is because they don't have the soil of money to grow things while the other countries it's because of there rulers who don't give a darn about there people. It's there ruler that stave them and take away things from them.

I look around and I see more and more white people choosing to live in my country. They say it's much preferable to raising their kids in the US where the educational system sucks and racism is so rampant.

People starve and die of disease everywhere...but usually it's only in your so called "white countries" where obesity has reached epidemic proportion.

In my view, multi-culturism and diversity SUCK big time, bad for any country. The proof is in front of our eyes.

Unity is far better, it allows a country to stand for something.

Multi-culturalism, where it is allowed to grow to excess, ie: where little or no blending of cultures takes place, it tears apart the fabric of a country's society, by creating poverty, ignorance, racism, and hate.

Illegal aliens bring all the bad aspects of multi-culturalism into the USA, they do not assimilate and learn the language, and they create their own pockets of the culture of their homeland, and by law, must live as and be considered criminals because they are illegally here. They are not multi-cultural, they refuse to be.
