Now I know that not all of the Country's Illegal Immigrants are of Mexican/Hispanic descent. There are people from Europe, Africa, Asia. So why is everyone blaming Mexico for all the problems? Isn't it a little racist to just blame everywhere under the US? Obviously Mexico is closer but what about the nationalities that come here illegaly to this country? So isn't there a little racism being shown here by Americans when the topic of immigration comes up?

So what you guys are saying is that yes racism plays a part in the immigration debate because it is easier for americans to identify with europeans than with mexicans, or as someone pointed out muslims. And isnt it a little racist to say that muslims in northen minnesota would be ilegal?

It's more than a little racism. And they use the excuse that since the "majority"of illegal immigrants come from mexico, they just seem to be the easiest to call out.Bull,bull,bull.Any hispanic person could walk down the street and some of these racists we talk about now would automatically assume they are illegal mexicans.Based on their appearance alone. Those people could be honduranians born in america, but would still be classified as illegal mexicans by some.

I ask people..what about the african illegals here?Or the ones from england or asia?I think if you condemn one race, you need to question ALL races.Just because a person is white or black does not make them legal americans.

Mexicans are by far the biggest offenders. The main problem with illegal immigration is not racism. It is lack of border security. Americans want our government to enforce our laws. Our government officials are to blame for the illegal immigration problems by not controlling the borders. People can cross over from Canada but few do. Muslim Arabs walking through wheat fields in Northern Minnesota would stand out. Those same people have been posing as Mexicans and walking across the border, to our south, for years. Is your question about racism related to Mexicans or Muslim Arabs.
People can and do get into this country illegally, by other means. The 11 Egyptian students, who came here legally, then dispersed are an example. But, how many people go through the trouble of getting passports and visas, then stay illegally? Probably less than one percent of the 11 million illegals here now. The main issue, let us not forget, is border security.

OH GOD more racism claims....OK let me clarify...there was a demonstration in which:
1) The broke law again by putting American flag upside down down and UNDERNEATH the Mexican flag.
2) People with Mexican flags announced California is going to be a Hispanic state and everyone else should get out
3) Signs with Mexican flag on it saying America is racist and that it is all their land from a long long long long long time ago so still belongs to them ignoring not only history, border treaties but reality

Now since the Mexican flag has been thrown up as the banner for making all illegals citizens then it is only NATURAL that we focus on Mexicans.

Are the European, Canadian, Russian, Asian, Cuban, African, Australian ILLEGAL immigrants just as wrong...YES!

I would say there is racism though...against Americans...we try to do things the right way and we get yelled at as racists since the illegals don't get their butts kissed...now THAT is racism

Not only do we focus on mexicans more because of the marches, but most hispanics where I live speak ENGLISH if they are born in the us. Yes they are bilingual but they respect everyone around them by speaking a language everyone understands. Yes their are illigals of other origins, but I failed to see them holding marches, burning American flags, claiming that the southern states are their land, do I really need to mention any more? Besides the obvious, not every white, black, or asian female you see is pregnant with at least 1 little one beside her. What does that tell you?

Isn't it racist of you to assume that my white skin makes me racist?

ALL ILLEGALS NEED TO BE REMOVED!!!
REGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR/COUNTRY OF ORIGIN!!!!!

What part of that don't you get?

The Hispanic/Latino/Chicano crowd brought the spotlight on themselves:

#1 by being the LARGEST group of illegals
and
#2 by marching in the streets with MEXICAN FLAGS!!!

And you wonder why a majority of the focus is on
Mexicans and other Hispanic illegals?????

sorry that is bull the mexicans are the biggest offenders , and they are disrespectful waving a different flag and being demanding they have asked to be the poster child for illegal immigration and if it was a different group we would be talking about them it has nothing to do with race

You are absolutely right. This may be the age of politcal correctness, but it obviously has not reached some of the people here. Almost every question in the immigration category is full of racism against latinos.

Why are you asking this dumb question, isnt it obvious?
America is great, it is indeed worth fighting for. People would also die to preserve their culture and their race. >:=()

I dont blame the Mexicans for acting like that, they live their lives in poverty and public scrutiny, and now the government just gave the racists more reason to put them down. I say why dont you buy a revolver and bring forth your wrath and quit posting here in yahoo answers. Your lover in prison waits for you.

No. Mexicans make up the majority of the illegals, but all illegals need to be sent home, especially students who are on expired visas.

European illegals have a culture similar to that of white Americans. Most Americans have European ancestry. It's much more easy to identify with them.
Also the crime rate amongst European illegals is many times lower than that of Hispanics.
