There is no doubt in my mind that it is getting larger! The more people get educated, the larger it will beocme. The pro's must already be running scared, Princess, They retaliate with censorship, and stupidity, talk in circles, and evade the subject when they have nothing intelligent to say! America will speak for itself, mark my words!

yes its been bigger than people have thought from the beginning its just that the anti's don't get a lot of news coverage but i have always guessed that would work out in the anti's favor as old news's is well old news , in my town some of the anti's held a protest right in front of a news's station and they asked them to leave and didn't even put it on the news but as things started to heat up in this issue they were starting to show more but not as much as the pros's . but its not over yet and more Americans are getting their voices heard on this issue!

I think it's becoming a national consensus that yes, our immigration 'policy' of the past has largely been an unenforced/unenforceable failure, and that some new thinking is required on the issue to effectively deal with the sheer number of people trying to gain entry to the United States legally or otherwise. What I don't know is if this administration's sincere about putting out the 'no vacancy' sign where illegal immigration is concerned, or if Congress can stand firm on such a position either, for that matter.
However, there are 280 million legal residents/citizens of/in the United States, who can speak out(peacefully) and vote(responsibly). The product of such voting can strongly encourage our representatives, or those that would like to represent the public in the future, to actually view the issue with an eye toward complying with the wishes of the majority of the people, and not just the wishes/interests of special interest groups or high-paid lobbyists whose primary stake in the debate on immigration is the acquisition of cheap labor 'human resources'.
The best way to really make yourself heard is to write your senators and representatives. The next time your city council holds a meeting, try and attend, and hear what they've got to say about the whole mess firsthand. If even HALF of the country did that with some regularity, there would be no 'immigration debate', because there'd be not so much as a shadow of doubt in anyone's mind as to whether or not it's appropriate for law enforcement to be on the job on the borders...what's happened is that certain groups would like to 'melt' the US/Mexico border, and unfortunately as it turns out, 'they' have vested interests in Mexico. This is Big Business trying to write our domestic policy, on this one, and the best defense against it is to be part of a citizen's group whose aim is to ensure that corporations don't run our country.
If price-per-unit is really such a concern for them, it's time for em to implement more automation technology. Automation will give you your price-per-unit be it pears or Porsches...but let's have our borders, and our 50 states, remain intact. And, for those businesses/corporations who are found to be in direct violation of US labor laws and hiring practices, fine the holy hell out of em. The quickest way to a businessman's heart is through his wallet. If these companies have to pay 100k/instance of having an illegal alien in their employ in our country, the practice will stop post-haste. These guys want to have their cake, and eat it, too, and that's not how it's gonna work.
Mexico could certainly use the investment, and sure, they've got lots of willing workers, which is a positive thing. But, the 'hard work' needs to actually occur locally in Mexico, and to a large degree, it already does. Making it moreso will un-blur the US/Mexico border...and we can open up new companies in america that only hire people legally, US citizens and authorized visa holders ONLY, and a really short list on the visa holder thing...I also believe that the sooner we have these oil companies out of our government processes, the better off we'll be nationally....but that's beside the point. The main point is, more people need to speak up and maybe even volunteer for stuff like the Minutemen, mainly just speak and write, because public awareness of a problem is like the first step in solving it.
The more people know, the more facts they know, the more information the public has about what the government's doing/not doing in response to public concern on this issue of immigration, the more we as citizens can make informed choices on who to vote for etc. By having people in our public offices who are very much 'america first', we'll help minimize the number of instances of conflict of interest of any kind, partisan or otherwise, and help stamp out undue influence from big companies that don't want to see the US borders enforced. They've brought a lot of this on themselves, when people get around to the polls, they can reap the whirlwind from it...not to get all churchy, but that is one from the Bible, I think 'sow the wind, reap the whirlwind', something like that, but I think it's true in basic principle, from Lil' Johnny on up to Exxon. We'll get to the bottom of the 'mystery' on 1/2-assed enforcement, eventually...
