Immigration - July 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Immigration

1. MOST illegals work in construction (app'x 40-45%)
2. The 2nd largest roup of illegals work in small restaurants (app'x 40%)
3.3rd migrant farm workers (3rd!, not most (less than 20%)
numbers come from US Bureau of Statistics!
businesses do not abuse their illegal workers often because the word spreads quickly and they soon lose their workforce and must pay more for labor.
On occasion, I am sure a problamatic worker is fired without receiving his pay because the company CAN and because it puts fear in those that remain.
By and large, Illegals probably work a bit harder because of the same fear, but at the same time businesses that hire them treat them well for the resons stated above.
stop the rhetoric, or prove me wrong!
YOUR CHOICE!

VOTE FOR INDEPENDANTS ( and independence) AND VOTE OUT INCUMBANTS IN '08

All the U.S. citizens want to do, is protect the standard of living we have worked towards. To let illegal immigrants into the U.S. , and destroy it.

The Pro-Illegals belive that the only way to do this, is let them enter the country, and do what ever they want. That would be disaster. Think about what our future would be like if we just opened the boarders, and let them all run in, America would be destroyed.

Well My friends, OUR constitution was designed togive the rules for those legally here and, Yes! lesser rights apply to those here illegally!
let us look at this a bit differently:
Say a bunch of french of brits wants to have an ANTI american protest (they are stil in their own country) and they apply for a permit to protest here, Do you think the have the RIGHT?

They do NOT! Why not assembly ia a right in OUR constitution?
There is the answer it is OUR constitution!
there are different levels of rights, even if you are disgusted by that thought (and you might be because you have grown up ignorant of the truth).
first law abiding citizens (prisoners do not share rights of protest, even though it is not so stated in the constitution)
legal aliens (they cannot vote and therefore their rights to affect policy and law is non-existant which would naturally speak to the RIGHT to assembly.
However assembly is a vague term and legal status does afford benefits, continued

Not all South Africans are Black. Most of them are but there are still a small amount of white South Africans left. The crime rate is really, REALLY high and I wanna get outta here!(Lions don't walk around wild here, only carjackers). Please keep your insults to yourselves.

I will not say every last illegal alien in America is here to rape our country, but the majority is doing exctly that. I can't believe there is even a debate! They don't want to assimmilate, they fly their rag, the crime, the abuse of benefits, and on and on and on. The Mexicans have turned this into a race war. If your illegal just leave before you really piss us off! Americans hve tried to look the other way so you could make a few bucks but you had to get greedy and blow it for yourselves. Youve worn out your welcome. If I were you I would be planning my trip back home before the Government makes a plan for you! It won't be long and youre outta here. The Government is giving you false hope of amnesty because the people will not allow you to stay GET IT?

That is, are they willing to identify themselves as Americans foremost and Mexicans by heritage alone. I have no problem with Hispanics, I do have a problem with an apparent unwillingness to drop their native tounge (Puerto Rico excluded obviously).

I just think Americans should come together rather then drift further and further apart.

Here's the same article from the Spanish language newspaper "Mundo Hispanico"- with THEIR provided English translation. Looks like I've got the trigger-happy "delete" gerbils riled, now!
The article follows:
THE RESIDENT HISPANIC CHILDREN IN THE UNITED STATES ARE FATTEST OF THE WORLD

A fat problem
The problem of obesity is affecting Georgia, where it is estimated that annually almost 7 thousand people die because they are overweight or obese. The epidemic also is affecting the Hispanic community, prone genetically to acquire this disease, causing them to have high indices of diabetes and diseases related to the heart.

Delete THAT!

I am an Australian PR holder and I am looking to migrate to the US. I will be getting my Aus citizenship soon. Is it better to wait for the citizenship? Will it be helpful in any way for migrating to the USA? Any leads or pointers to websites where this information is available specific to people migrating from Aus to USA? How long does the process specific to this scenario normally take ?

This is a quote from an idiot.
Which of the mentioned do you pay me?
Housing?-All illegals rent, some own.
Medical bills?-If you don't have US ID you can't even apply for help!
Food?-I go to the store and buy with my own salary!
Education? Hahaha. I got my education in Europe for free, and most illlegals don't come for your lousy education that would leave them illleterate anyway. People come for a better life, and not for free :all visas cost a lot and those who crossed the border paid $2,500 a smuggler risking their lives thru the desert! Just like your ancestors, who got citizenship as soon as they got off some boat!
Noone wanted your ancestors here, they were ILLEGAL INVADERS who committed GENOCIDE , killing the Native Americans!
Are you, lazy fat a$$es going to speak of LEGAL? Where is your moral right? Huh, what moral, this country is founded on mass murder!

Don't give up the fight. We can defeat the criminals that support illegal immigration, the invasion of our country, and the rewarding of criminals with Amnesty:

We keep importing poverty at an astounding rate, and if the senate has its way there would be no limits on the number of people we bring in. The neighborhood where I grew up is starting to resemble this, and as we bring in more and more poor, uneducated people that work cheaply for certain businesses, but bring their family and have a large number of kids, and don't make enough to survive without government (your) money, it seems like we are heading towards disaster.

T
Most people, including lawmakers from both parties, know the immigration system is broken and that we need real reform. But some right-wingers, including Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) and former House Speaker Rep. Newt Gingrich, keep holding on to the fantasy that we if we just conduct a massive police action to arrest, try and deport every undocumented worker in every factory and every farm in America, we can solve our immigration problem in a snap.

Well, the Center for American Progress today released the first-ever cost assessment of a mass deportation policy for the 10 million undocumented persons currently in the country and the 500,000 that successfully cross the border each year. And guess what? It would essentially drain the Treasury. The data analysis estimates the cost to be at least $206 billion over 5 years ($41.2 billion annually), and could be as high as $230 billion. We arrived at this number even after assuming that 2 million of the 10 million would leave on their own

We have many companies that moved to Mexico for lower wages. If we took Mexico into our country, and raised cost to companies that left the US. That would be plenty of money across the board. It would take care of all problems. We would just have to work out how the governing bodies will be set up.

What if we were to spray a sleeping gas on a regular basis along the Mexican boarder and then tansport the illegals to North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota, then when they wake up they would cross into Canada and then they could deal with them.
