Well My friends, OUR constitution was designed togive the rules for those legally here and, Yes! lesser rights apply to those here illegally!
let us look at this a bit differently:
Say a bunch of french of brits wants to have an ANTI american protest (they are stil in their own country) and they apply for a permit to protest here, Do you think the have the RIGHT?
They do NOT! Why not assembly ia a right in OUR constitution?
There is the answer it is OUR constitution!
there are different levels of rights, even if you are disgusted by that thought (and you might be because you have grown up ignorant of the truth).
first law abiding citizens (prisoners do not share rights of protest, even though it is not so stated in the constitution)
legal aliens (they cannot vote and therefore their rights to affect policy and law is non-existant which would naturally speak to the RIGHT to assembly.
However assembly is a vague term and legal status does afford benefits, continued

This is generally included in the Right to protest. I am not entirely opposed to nor i favor of LEGAL alien protests, either (especially student protests as student visas are by nature temporary and it is usually a one way benefit, that of the student)
I personally feel that the legal PERMANENT alien, if he/she chooses to protest, should first secure citizenship!
As for ILLEGAL ALIENS, they do not have the RIGHT to be here, and there for cannot, C-A-N-N-O-T, have the RIGHT to protest. it impossible to secure a right that you are not legally capable of attaining.
the constitution states that one may NOT benefit fron one's own criminal activity!
Claiming the RIGHTS given to a legal person, by ILLEGAL means is a crime and since the constitution is giving us our rights, they can not also have them without nullifying the consttution!

Sorry wonderwoman, but this is a democratic REPUBLIC, and you do NOT dictate what I do or do not believe, I believe in free speech, but you do not have the right to get in my face and slander and berate me and my family (those are crimes of fighting words and assault, look it up)!

HOP 0409, you DO bring up a VALID point!
the answer is hard to hear, but NO the slaves did not have the RIGHT to protest, at the time they were chattle property.
The one's that DID have the right to protest were the one's that had the right to change things and change them they did!
We do not have slaves in the USA, do we?
i disagree with CITIZEN protestors, but I recognize their right to protest for the 'plight' (LOL) of the ilegal. they can try to enact immigration reform., but that does not give the criminal immigrant RIGHTS!

Señor Vasquez, are you totally brain dead or are you just intellectually dishonest? (is there a 3rd choice?)
At any point here, did I state that I am against American citizens protesting? Is that even implied?
NO so shut up[, sit down, open your ears, eyes, and brain!
the question was about ILLEGAL ALEINS AND IF THEY HAVE RIGHTS TO PROTEST!
If you feel offended at that, I do NOT care! I am not the kind to change based on the possibility of offending someone! LIVE WITH IT, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!

You are right on, the liberals are giving too much to the illegals and not being respoonsible for them.
If you support illegal immigration because we all came here and took the land from the Native Americans, and that is your argument, then join the tens of thousands of Americans, that everyday are jumping the fence TO Mexico, Swimming through shark infested water TO Cuba and smuggling themselves in Oil tankers TO China. Give the Native Americans back their land. Just walk up to one and give him or her the key to your home and car, all the money in YOUR American bank account. Find one that is unemployed and teach that person your job so you can quit and they can work. All that was in the past. He is against it because it is created a socio-economic burden on America. You could help that out by paying 95% of your salary in taxes. At the end of the year, wher the 1040 asks how much of your refund you want, put a fat "0" on it, and include a check for the rest of your salary. Then we could afford to have illegals in our schools, overcrowding them, in our hospitals, our jails.....That would work if you and all pro-immigration people stepped up and supported them. Heck, let them all move into your home, so they won't be hungry or homeless, too. If you aren't willing to do that, starting today, then stop protesting what Bush is doing to HELP OUR country.
What we had 100-300 years ago was a wave of refugees from religious, political persecution and famine heading to America. Now we have people that just want a better way of life than trying to fix their own country. Bring them into YOUR home, and support them if you like.

So dude, are you asking or ranting? Anyway, the so-called "illegals" have the right to protest because most of the organizations that prepare the protests are run by American citizens. So we have American citizens protesting against what they perceive as an unfair policy in their country and they organize those whom they perceive are affected negatively by it. If you knew any "illegal" immigrant, and I used to work in a non-profit that dealt with some immigrant issues, you'd probably know they're too busy getting abused by growers, and contractors and whomever is hiring them. It is funny how all this "issue" is blamed on the people who come here to work and how much little blame is put on those who hire these workers. If there's a demand for work...why should people stop coming? Anyway if you're so concerned just go an pick up some tomatos for $0.50 an hour.
Bottom line, you cannot stop American citizens from portesting their country's policies. Unless you want to change the constitution to determine who can meet, protest and express...but that won't be too democratic, ya think.

Well, I know that legal aliens have some rights. My mom was one b4 she became a citizen.
Now she has more rights like voting and gun ownership.
I think ILLEGAL people have SOME rights like they should be able to live without being beaten up and stuff like that, basic HUMAN rights.
I do not think that they do or should not have rights that differ country to country and that were made by the US's law for citizens, I mean take voting it is a RIGHT, but only for citizens!
WHY? Because that constitution says it. Other countries have votes but I cannot vote there and I don't want to and I should not be able to either!

No, they don't. They're ILLEGAL. What the hell do they have to protest about? They aren't even citizens!!!! Would I, as an American citizen, go to Canada, Russia, China to protest when I'm not even a citizen of those countries? Um, NO.
Most of the illegals are ingrates; they take, take, take and want, want, want. Its ridiculous they're even protesting, but they're lucky our current goverment doesn't deport them on the spot at these protests. If I were President, I'd thank them for gathering so I wouldn't have to hunt them down and then start the deportation! (And yes, I am a moderate liberal, not a full fledged conservative).

So when African-Americans were slaves, and not considered even "people", they should have had no right to protest their plight? Is it okay that illegal aliens work in our fields, picking our produce and even dying from the hard work and heat, not allowed even a drink of water, but not okay for them to protest? Perhaps if I were a jingoistic American, threatened by the very people who put food on my table, I would agree with you.

They do not have any rights under our constitution. What is doubly insulting is that they march under the flags of their own countries. They do not even have the good grace to use US flags while they claim rights. Of course, the liberals, do-gooders, and bleeding hearts are already to grant them anything they wish and the Democrats especially since the Dems figure they will vote their ticket.

Even if your point could be well taken, you're too much of a wise butt for people to understand what you want to say...keep it short and simple... tell us your point in English. And, no I am not brain dead, and the intellectually dishonest may be you. Otherwise, why has your platform not surfaced yet. Fence??? Be nice, now.

Try looking at it from their point of veiw: they are coming over here for the same reasons your ancestors came here: for a better life. I think we should up border security and kick the ones committing crimes out, but not kick them all out. They have LEGAL families here. I think it was a bit dumb of them to protest here when they're not supposed to be here in the first place, but... never mind, I dont want to rant.

Why didn't they protest for something that would help with the problems-- like National Health. Something to help.
Why didn't they take it to the border? And show others what their goverment has done? This is why America is mad. They did nothing to help -and they only hurt themseves. They picked poor Leaders-who sounded good and tickle their ear. It was just wrong-and many still don't get it.
