No there wouldn't but if America didn't make it so easy for them to cross the border they just might have to! A month or so ago I read on yahoo news that there was a place they were crossing where 90% would get caught UNLESS they were led over by a "Professional Guide" If something doesn't stink about that, I mean the US w/e was in league with the "Guides?" The 'fee' for crossing was $10! (I believe I have the facts right the numbers are another matter)

Mexico is the victim of long standing political problems. There is a definite class structure in Mexico which keeps people oppressed. There is no reason why Mexico should be a poor country it has abundant natural resources, and should be a leader on the world stage. If the people would rise up and install a government that was favorable to them there would not be an immigration problem because there would be no reason to leave Mexico in the first place.
Ranjer: Contrary to the opinion of the Bush haters out there, a majority of the American voting public elected him. That is why he is in office.

There would still be an immigration problem because the US would always be the superior country with better opportunities.
However, it's not all about coming to this country for better opportunities.
There is a portion of the Mexican population that wants to take back what we took from them. In essence, it's a covert invasion. What better way to invade a country than to come in and assimilate their culture and society into ours. The romans did it on many occassions.

I get so angry when people say Mexicans are victims. The are not!! They are a product of themselves. The reason their country is in bad shape is because of them. The ones in power are the ones that survived years of Spanish occupation. The Ones in power are the ones that assimilated to the Spanish language and culture which is European. This class of Mexicans are the ones who built the cathedrals and universities. They value education and culture. The poor of Mexico are the one who have resisted assimilation tho western culture for generations. these are the ones crossing the border every day. they do not want to change and are not victims. They chose to come here. They are not victims. We should not feel any obligations to these people. They came here on their own free will and the are not victims. They can make it here, if they do what it takes to make it here. Speak English well, adopt our culture and obey our laws. They left Mexico for a reason so they should leave Mexico and her ways behind. And stop pretending to be victims. The are here, they should shut up and stop complaining about how we treat them here. We have no obligation to them, they have an obligation to us if we are to make our country a better place for all to live. Remember, they are not victims of anything in our country. They are FREE to choose their destiny. If they don't like it, they should leave.

when are you going to understand that they have tried for years to improve their country and their government wants no part in helping it's citizens. thier government is only worried about how they can improve themselves(money wise) and thats why they aren't worried about their citizens.
sealrborders:: you have no idea what you are talking about. the people of mexico and a lot of other countries have tried for years to get their government to better their countries. why do you all thing that over the years, there have been more and more people coming over the borders? because they are tired of trying to convice their government that they CAN make something of their country if they would just give them a chance. so, no, you can't be sure (as usual). =(

I believe that to be true. But they are not so the problems lay upon us-handle what we can.
We are the enablers-we ask for no accountability and we do not enforce our laws. And have pretty much turned our heads.
We can not make them-improve their own country. But if we wanted too we could hold them more accountable. Their problem has become ours because we let them.
It is like living with a drunk or drug addict. We continue to give them their drugs or booze and wonder why they behave the way they do. It is time to put them in detox and make them more accountable and quit supplying their addiction. Or covering up for them-which many do.

no i really don't think there would be a immigration problem its like they live in denial at least if there was more of a wide spread disgust with mexico and they would speak out from here even. i think we should bring mexico up on charges but i have gotten chewed out by them for saying that . i cant understand why they defend that place what about their people still stuck there it seems to me their only care for them is that the border is open we cant keep this up.

Mexico is dying. That is why so many people are trying to get out of it. There are so many things that people don't know and don't understand but if you knew what is going on world wide and even locally. Wake up man look around! You will see what I mean.

ABSOLUTELY,there would be NO "immigration problem today" if illegals did JUST that!!!!!
If ILLEGALS marched and protested in their OWN streets, instead of OURS, i'm positive, the mexican government would SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE!!!!

They don't want to make the effort. They just want to soak the US for all they can, reap all the benefits they can, while flying their Mexican flags to show their loyalty to the country that gave them nothing.
