It makes me sad seeing the homeless people in L.A. and Oakland, and other cities? What should we do to take care of our people first? They deserve a home, food, and health care too.

What should we do about societies such as the one in Pakistan and so many other nations? seems like we ignore the problem the radicals take over, gain nuke weapons and most likely use them on everyone they do not like.I grieve for the many peace loving people of such nations, ruled by the few that are armed and use terrorism to promote their brand of Islam. It makes me sick to hear our presidential candidates rip this administration for Bhuttos murder, seems Bush and Co. are doing the best they can to address a region in chaos, seems no one can fix this problem...but what about islamic radicals obtaining nuke weapons? they use them and all other problems pale in comparison.Poor Bennazar Bhutto, she like so many other women in other cultures are just striving for equal rights or just basic human rights and your small in number islamofascist supress and murder any woman/cattle that dare to rise up.Are we morally obligated to intervene in behalf of the oppressed, gays, women ect?

the main reasons health care costs are so high are

insurance administration fees
premiums increasing due to uninsured claims

with a universal healthcare system, administration, paperwork, and all that crap would decline, making the #1 reason for increases a non issue. 2nd issue is the uninsured, who go to the ER where a basic medical procedure costs 5-10x more. By everyone being insured, uninsured costs would go down.

Thus, universal healthcare reduces the premiums of EVERYONE, including the wealthy .

Why is this so hard to understand?

There are no takers to Mr. Bush's idea of selling democracy to the Middle East. It is a catastrophy. The real solution seems to be about religion... that is, the truth about religion.

The government has mandated that all TV must be digital by 2009. What enumerated power of the Constitution gives them the right to dictate what kind of technology we use, or to legislate any technology out of existence? Think of all the poor people who still use analog TV; who will be forced to buy expensive digital TV (none of which are made in the US) or do without. I think this is one more political favor to Chinese donors, at the expense of the American people. It is also *much* easier to hack or jam digital sources, making it easier to control mass communications. What do you think?

There are some rumors on the internet that the Central Intelligence Agency planned the assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto in efforts to support Pervez Musharraf's dictatorship, a key U.S. ally in Asia. Should Congress create a commission to investigate the CIA involvement in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto?
