So I work hard for my money and my government takes out taxes and decides where these funds will be spent. So I'm in a supermarket today buying a $4.00 gal. of milk and the person in front of me is buying med.size shrimp and beer and other stuff but the kicker is they whip out a E.B.T. card to pay for all of these luxuries ( except for the beer they had cash for that) E.B.T. is a welfare food stamp credit card F.Y.I. That's one thing that pissed me off . With all the substanse abuse/ drugs why doesnt the states in which we live in make all persons sucking of the system have to pass a drug screen every month before my money and yours is put into a convenient account for others leisure. If your not doing anything wrong then you should have nothing to worry about. Get the bums and the junkies off my payroll and the people that need this assistance utilize it!

By putting it into the hands of the federal reserve, Congress shirked their responsibility and the fed has done a horrible job.

Is it time to open up the minting of money to competition?

Why shouldn't anybody and everybody be able to mint coins of gold, silver and copper (and any other precious metal)?

Maybe a little competition is just what the doctor ordered for our floundering economy where today's "federal reserve note" is worth about 4 cents compared to the dollar's value in 1913

What is the FairTax Plan?
The FairTax Plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an
integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal
taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement, and, through companion
legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. This nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 1025) abolishes all federal
personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and
self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax – administered primarily
by existing state sales tax authorities. The IRS is disbanded and defunded. The FairTax taxes us only on what we
choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and
intelligent solution to the frustration and inequ

I noticed this with Clinton and Bush, that in their second terms they tended to be more aggressive and do things that might not be popular with the public. Why is that?

ok i forgot to add some stuff to my last question so maybe the answers will be different now. I was charged with credit card fraud at age 15. The judge said since it was my first offense he was giving me probation and if i complete the community service the charges would be dissmissed. I completed the community service and the charges were dissmissed. This is on my juvinile record now. Credit card fraud: Charges dissmissed. Can this be held against me?

Those of us who educate ourselves as to the actions of our governments are continually labelled conspiracy 'nuts' or weirdos by other people.

Why do think this is? Are they the ones that are blinded as to the real world, or is it the reverse, are we the ones who are fooling ourselves?

I fully understand that religion shouldn't be part of the government because people are persecuted and life just isn't fair anymore. Because of this we have seperation of church and state. My SS teacher wants us to write an essay on this, I can only come up with two reasons:

-if a certain religious group gains power and gains control of the government, it leads to various conflicts among the people and the government.
-religious ideas conflict with what is truly right for the nation, colony, etc.

I need one more reason, please help!

I've heard many people say that Bush is behind 911 that he planned the attacks for his own benefits and oil. I'm just wondering how many people believe this is true and what actual facts have proven this. They say that the explosions were from more then a plane. Many people heard bombs inside the buildings and the building went down too fast to be the cause of just the plane itself.
