In general, prior to the Civil Rights movement that started in the 1960's, the USA was a different country in terms of how it handled political power.

We have had (and still have) many women as state governors and as representatives in state and national legislatures. More and more since the Civil Rights movement began, people are seeing themselves able to do more than they once thought they could do.

The number of women in politics continues to grow. I think it is a matter of time before a woman is elected president, but the support has not grown strong enough for that to happen quite yet. The trend is there but has not reached its peak yet.

It is far from impossible that Hillary could be elected this time around, but it IS in the range of "unlikely." Some of that will depend on who else stays in the race with the Democratic party and who is the candidate for the Republican party.

No women have ever been President of the United States. I hope Hillary will not be the first either. I don't like her politics. She is a left-wing Liberal Socialist. She will make us pay more taxes and we will lose more freedoms with her.

What did you learn about American presidents in your school? Did your country even try and school you in world events?
