There is very little difference both love big government and surveillance . Control over every aspect of our lives including what we can say or think. State run education which is no more than propaganda and revised history. Both usually will end up using violence and draconian laws to curb dissent. Only difference is that usually Fascists are also Racialists . Communists make out there are class warriors and promote a ideology which appears just but actually is filled with childish hatred and envy and every nation which has been taken over has turned into a dictatorship and costs many lives. I'm British and live under a government with disturbing almost Communist elements a Prime Minister who behaves like an arrogant Trot who has just given our Sovereignty to a deeply undemocratic Neo Communist Union ( EU) . Beware Americans don't be fooled by the likes of Hilary she has great sympathies with Neo Communist thinking as the Democrats were infiltrated decades ago with Soviet sympathizers that party needs a radical change to restore it as true democrats who represent the USA.

Fascist is a Italian word for dictatorship. The Nazi's were also called themselves National Socialists. The only difference between the fascists and the communist were there views on race. Their commonality is, they are both evil. Jesus said, "a kingdom divided cannot stand." That's why the biggest one's didn't last.

Both have one thing in common: the country will emphasize its citizens working for the state, rather than with the state, and they will emphasize putting the state before one's self.

Fascism will also tend to quell certain liberties, most notably freedom of speech. Communism places an emphasis on a classless society, where the state does everything it can to make everyone equal (or appear equal).

1)The persecution of minority groups or individuals who are objectified as "other" and as "non-human".
2)suppression of intellectual freedom of thought:- ie in education, the arts and sciences.
3) freedom to exploit others weaker and poorer by minority property owners and industrialists/state.
4)central control of everything, by one ideology, which may call itself Marxist or non-capitalist or Nationalist.
above can be mixed and matched as fascistic communistic styles of power wielding over the masses.

Try these.

Government dictating to companies what they must produce, and how they must produce it and who they can sell it to(internationally especially) or distribute it or how much they can sell it for (medications).

They also control how the company can hire and fire employees, what the company must pay the employees, and what benefits the company must offer.
