Freedom, to me, means that you are 'free' to do whatever you like. Also, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, you are 'free' to face the consequences of those actions. Think about this, as true freedom is a wonderful/horrible thing.

Democracy is a political system and ideal as some one has already pointed out . Freedom is the right to question the political system of the day and any other topic without harassment and censorship .

It means that we freely elect officials in elections that are in no way tainted and I have the right to live my life. Unfortunately, our elections are tainted (as we saw in the Bush/Gore final outcome) and Bush has taken away many of our rights as Americans in the last almost 8 years.
